Hard work and long hours

It was my introduction to the construction industry and I enjoyed my time there. The managers made you feel welcome and had a great respect for what I did.

fun

start work at 7am every day and finish about 5 pm, had to work saturday to get completions on time, did not get paid for the extra work but did get a good salary per year

Good remuneration but challenging environment, top down micromanagement system, little praise.

Depressing culture. Micro managed by sales managers who are not happy themselves. Left alone to do work then unfairly challenged when your successful outcome is not the way the manager would have done it. Comes from the top. there seems to be an assumption everyone in sales is incapable.

Overall a good experience

Working as part of a smaller team, the people here are vital. My line manager was excellent - really supportive and encouraging. The director was not - bullying and always looking for fault. This was ultimately the reason I left and my line manager followed shortly after. The rest of the organisation however was good to work for, friendly environment with excellent work/life balance.

Don't bother. Save yourself the headache and try somewhere else!

You can give your all for this company and bust a gut for zero return. It seems the more bone idle some one is they will get promoted and more thought of. The harder you work the more they dump on you. Support staff and secretarial staff are treated like scum of the earth. They throw bonuses at you though if you do the absolute bare minimum but if you work hard and show up on time they don't want to know.
