In the fourth instalment of our ‘Lifting the lid’ series, we continue uncovering the culture, opportunities, and people that make up Reed Talent Solutions. “When you’re offering someone a job and they get really excited, you realise it’s actually a big deal. You just made a really drastic change in someone’s life. It gives you a little kick. It’s rewarding. It makes you feel like you’re making a difference.” We spoke to April-Rose Kennedy RPO Talent Lead as she shares her journey through RPO: https://bit.ly/46AAXJb

Social Responsibility, Philanthropy & Charity

At Reed we can proudly say that we are a responsible British business that gives back to its local, national and international communities.
For 60 years we have supported commerce and employment through the work that we do. In addition to this, Reed has supported society even further through the work of the Reed Foundation, our associated charities, and the charitable activities of our individual offices and co-members.
The Reed Foundation & our charities
The Reed Foundation was set up by Alec Reed in 1985 and has owned 18% of the Reed group of companies for over 30 years. The funds directed to the foundation are at the heart of our charitable giving.
With one fifth of profits from the group invested in charitable causes, our co-members can proudly say that we work one day a week for charity.
The Big Give was established in 2007 through funding from the Reed Foundation and operates with support from our reed.co.uk offices in Covent Garden.
To-date it has helped raised £100million for UK and international causes through match-funding and other innovative services to connect charities with donors and philanthropists.
In 1989 The Reed Foundation invested over £1m of charitable funds to establish both Ethiopiaid and Womankind Worldwide.
Both charities still operate today with Ethiopiaid having invested over £36million to help alleviate poverty in the most impoverished communities in Ethiopia, and WomanKind Worldwide continues to support women’s rights campaigns around the world.

Rewards at Reed

Our purpose is improving lives through work. We hope to improve the lives through work of our co-members, by rewarding their contribution to Reed’s success with innovative, exciting, and generous incentive schemes.
High Performance, High Rewards...
We listen when our co-members tell us what they want, and as a result, we have created a reward and recognition culture that drives high-performance across our network.
Consultants, account business partners, and managers across all our Network divisions are eligible for various reward schemes, which recognise outstanding performance for both the individual and the team.
We believe Reed is a destination employer in the recruitment sector, where the very best consultants, account business partners, and managers want to deliver on our purpose of improving lives through work. Doing so will unlock a huge variety of rewards, from holidays of a lifetime, additional end-of-year bonuses, to prize draws where you could drive away in a luxury car. The best part is that all these rewards are annual, so high-performers can enjoy these outstanding benefits year after year.
Our award-winning apprenticeship programme has specific rewards too, with high-grade, top-performing apprentices on the programme eligible for additional reward – we appreciate every co-member at every stage of their career.

Inclusion & Belonging

Being yourself at work.
Every. Single. Day.
Our aim is for co-members to feel welcomed at Reed and ultimately be their true self at work. We are proud to promote inclusion & diversity among clients, candidates and co-members as an equal opportunities employer. It’s our policy to support people who hold Protected Characteristics (under the Equality Act 2010) both internally and externally through supporting recruitment practices based solely upon merit.
Attracting A More Diverse Candidate Pool...
We are proud to have an inclusive recruitment process with equal opportunities available for all at Reed. With a blended selection approach including psychometric testing and telephone interviews, we aim to reduce bias through a skills based recruitment process. We also have an inclusive recruitment policy, to ensure accountability of our recruiting line managers.
We grow top talent internally year on year. We’re dedicated to democratising access to opportunity and making sure everyone has the chance to fulfil their potential, whatever their
background.
