Fast paced work environment.
VNA Driver, Reach Truck, Counterbalance. (Current Employee) - Bridgwater - 9 November 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI pick pallets of product. Put away pallets from production. Load trailers. Can be fast paced. Health and Safety first always. Some good people here. Good attention to detail needed.

Avoid it. Awful place to work.
Maintenance Engineer (Former Employee) - Production - 22 January 2023
To many incompetent managers. It always feels like them and us. Different grades of pay for new starters than for present staff. So you will be doing the same job as someone else who could be earning thousands more than you. They will promise you training and give you nothing. Lines forever breaking down because not enough Engineers to fix lines. Very very stressful place to work. English people are the minority.

Production operative
Production Operator (Former Employee) - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire - 1 January 2023
To understand u will need to work there no training to new startera and all management are disrespectfully to workers playing with salary and pushing to the limit (including bad shift pattern 2 days 2nights) i was expecting something more from that company but mostly what we got was lie's, there is bo communication at all any issues flag will be ignored, but office know what they doing by blaming shop floor Staff. Since they take over the factory i saw hundreds of people's walking away as the factory manager say if u don't like there is the doors..... Greate aproche to employees...... Greate please of work is lie too....
Pros
Bad shift pattern, no communication, lies

Multi skilled production operator
Production Operative (Former Employee) - Bridgwater - 16 November 2022
Would not recommend. Very stress full place to work. The only upside is the pay. Managers have no clue. There is no training if there is it's very little and you are thrown into the deep end. Dreadful place to work not a great place to work like there so called motto. Working 2 days and 2 nights messes with your routine they say you get 4 days off but you don't it's 3.5 days.

Worst manufacturing team in the midlands
Maintenance Engineer (Former Employee) - Derby - 9 October 2022
A company ran by absolute muppets! Uneducated people put into management roles who have no idea what theyr doing. Engineers made seniors because of their work skills, even if they have no people skills. No training provided at all, thrown straight into the deep end. All decent people who worked here have now left, factory no full of agency staff in production and engineering teams. Do not work for this company, you will be happier working as a brick layer on a rainy day
Pros
3 days off
Cons
Too long to list

Awful place to work
Logistics Assistant (Former Employee) - Kegworth, Leicestershire - 16 September 2022
The managers are clueless clowns and will stab you in the back at any given chance. The culture in the office is cliquey and snakey. Do NOT work at Refresco if you care about your own mental wellbeing.

So so, little room for improvement.
Always consider production before warehouse as they are paid more due to being more "technical". Overall, just do bare minimum as that's all is needed to succeed.

Bad place to work
Quality Assurance Technologist (Former Employee) - Bondgate - 25 March 2022
In my experience the operatives and some of the office staff were ok and friendly but working within the quality department was one of the worse places i have worked, the manager didnt have a clue about any of the quality systems or processes etc and there was no training only a blame culture, the staff in the department were too busy back stabbing instead of helping each other.
Pros
Free pop
Cons
Bad staff in Quality department

work at refresco, you will be exploited and devalued.
Operator (Current Employee) - Kegworth DE74 - 15 March 2022
This company doesn't value it's employees long term or new. It pays below average in the areas and wonders why it struggles to recruit. Their inability to recruit causes stress and unnecessary pressure on workers still there, with no unique incentives. The company signed up to a benefit scheme, but if you have cashback accounts they're just the same. Holidays are standard as other businesses. Pension contributions are minimal at low levels and moderate at higher levels. A percentage bonus scheme is in place but even by doing everything there's no guarantee of achieving as this is subject to face fitting with manager. The decision making by the board of directors or "Leadership Team" is slow, behind the times, and for their own vested self interests where all decisions are based on their needs not the needs of their employees. The business globally completed an employee survey the results of which doesn't get communicated. The problems listed are across all site's, with all site's struggling to recruit and experiencing an incredibly high turnover of employees.

Great company for progression as management recognise talent and promote within regularly.
Machine Operator/Team Leader (Current Employee) - Bridgwater, Somerset - 4 March 2022
A fantastic company to work for who really value staff and progress internally which is great, very fair management team who strike a great balance of being professional and at the same time allow flexibility in the right areas, lots of very long serving employees which indicates it must be a great place to work for a long lasting career.
Pros
Great facilities, friendly happy environment
Cons
Not any

No pay rise in bridgwater for 7 years and management treat you like rubbish.so many have already left because of this. 4 have just been made redundant even though they are still advertising for workers. Joke of a company. When it was gerber it was the place to work in town now its refresco its the lowest of the low and your be mad to take a job there.

All you’ll do is firefight all shift (for good money though)
Engineering Team Leader (Former Employee) - Nelson, Lancashire - 1 December 2021
Amazing set of lads in the engineering department however there are not enough people to achieve what the management expect. Morale is dreadful due to multiple redundancies in the last 5 years. Can’t hold on to experienced engineers but the management are never questioning why. Machines are very old and lack of people mean the maintenance strategies aren’t effective. Feel free to work here if you like money but running around for 12 hours to earn it. A lot of the team are legacy people who’ve been with the business for a long time and are resistant to change - allowing a poor work ethic to continue.
Pros
Free coffee via vending machines, good continental shift pattern
Cons
No training support. Over worked engineering department.

Joke of a Company
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Bridgwater, Somerset - 12 September 2021
If you are an unambitious person with no self confidence, pride or honor, this is definitely a place for you. But if you show any of the former mentioned characteristics this will be a very unpleasant experience for you. A company full of adults that act like children. No freedom, once you're inside, it's like you're their property. Definitely was the worst experience of my life, glad I left, every job I had after was better by far.
