Not worth your health
Production Operative (Current Employee) - Bridgwater, Somerset - 22 November 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe two days two nights shift pattern is not a long term way to live your life. The pay is becoming more average very year as the company manages pay rises well below inflaton. Noticeable culture change and turnover of staff in recent years as a result of this.

Fun place
Advanced Team Member (Former Employee) - Pontefract, West Yorkshire - 15 November 2023
Good place to work. Didn't enjoy weekend nights. Worked with some good people and learnt lots of good valuable skills. Needs investment in new machines

Bad atmosphere
Production Operator (Former Employee) - Uk - 7 October 2023
Pay was okay but clueless management and very little training, you are put under pressure to meet targets while supervisors sit in office watching Netflix on their phone.

Was a ok place
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Bridgwater, Somerset - 21 September 2023
Overall it's a ok place to work the pay is fare but the hours and shifts can be very long and time off is not always enough to recover and be ready for the next shift.

Insights into Refresco
Areas for improvement

- Support from manager
Not good to work for if you’re easily stressed
Factory Operative (Current Employee) - West Yorkshire - 30 August 2023
If you take time on sick and genuinely cannon work you get punished for it, pay is reasonable but not worth the stress and anxiety you get from it, work 3 on 3 off continental 12hr shifts, got a pay rise and told we may now be losing it, said they were benchmarking the company on other companies but they’ve benchmarked us off company’s that are 8hr shifts not 12hr so it makes no sense, some management is okay but the higher up management is appalling full of lies and false statements
Pros
Can’t think of any
Cons
Not good for people with high blood pressure

I feel like I was lied to to get me in the door then once there find out what the company is really like.
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Nelson - 23 August 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The co workers were friendly . What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They periodically change rules without notice so you end up with a telling off no matter what you do. They also promised a good wage in the interview stages then you find out its subsidiaries on top which they are taking away. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Toxic. Each department are separated from each other which creates a I'm better than you environment. There is also poor on the job training. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Busy, understaffed and stressful

Different Employer
Advanced technical operator (Current Employee) - Milton Keynes - 2 August 2023
High turn over of staff, disorganised how they make money I will never understand. Not the best payer and tend to employee anyone out of pure desparation to fill gaps.
Pros
Cant think of any
Cons
Stressful most of the time.

Long shift but bearable with colleagues
General Operative (Former Employee) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire - 18 May 2023
Being able to talk to colleagues made it bearable, especially with the long and harsh schedules. but there always seem to be issues between regular employees and managment.

Fair pla e to work
Advanced Production Op (Current Employee) - Milton Keynes - 20 April 2023
The 4/4 shift pattern works for me but it is 2 days and 2 nights , pay is good for what it is but could be better, limited progression. But the job is mostly good once you are trained.
Pros
Free drinks
Cons
Long hours

Refresco is not a place you want to work at.
Maintenance Engineer (Former Employee) - Kegworth, Leicestershire - 31 March 2023
Most shop floor staff are good to work with. Production managment leaves a lot to be desired, only one manager whose any good. Production Supervisors tend to be good lads as are the operators. The main problem is higher managment who to be honest do not give a monkey's about thier staff. The polices they've put in place and reduction in benefits has seen loads of good guys walking out.
Pros
Some good guys there.
Cons
Company policies and rubbish benefits, higher mangment really could'nt care a less about their employee's.

Experience that's hard to get elsewhere
HQ (Current Employee) - Kegworth, Leicestershire - 13 February 2023
if you work hard and have some drive and ambition then you quickly get moved onto other opportunities and projects. I have done things here that i can't imagine doing in other companies and been promoted more quickly than expected. The pace is very fast so great for those who can keep up, some people arrive from other corporates and find it a bit too much.
Pros
opportunity to progress
Cons
no access by public transport, have to drive. Big projects can mean extra hours at times.
