At first stage interview it is important to look your best, so a Smart Dress approach is advised. If you are invited for a second interview you may need to wear safety equipment (safety shoes, HighVis vest for example), most of which we can provide for you. If safety equipment is required you will be advised of this by the recruitment team at interview stage.

A great starting point when preparing for an interview with us is to carry out research on the role you are applying for and the company itself. We'll want to know why you want the job, as well as asking questions to make sure you both have the skills for the job and to fit the culture. If you've prepared well, you can enter the interview room knowing you will get a warm reception immediately from our managers. That's a tough question since each employee could come up with a different answer.I think close to the majority of our employees, particularly those who are based out of the office, would say that keeping to the expectations of demanding customers would be the most stressful part of the role. In many of our lines of work, the customer is in a situation of need and really care about the time to respond. Managing the workload is a challenging part of the role. This tends to be stressful for our colleagues because of the level of attention our colleagues give to our customers. If you're hardworking and can cope in a fast-paced environment, you'll certainly rise to the challenge.

Our typical process is to start with a telephone interview lasting 20-30 minutes, followed by a face-to-face competency interview and then a shadowing day for the role you have applied for. By this point, you should learn whether this role is right for you. There will be some differences. For example, in a sales interview process, we will have a formal final stage as well as a shadowing day and also a psychometric test. has a great hints and tips page which will ensure you are interview ready:
