Pay rubbish long hours for no extra trucks some you wouldn't use shunting in the yard they have them out in the road disgrace no communication if issues outon the road your on your own no management and now taken over seem to have got worse which a thought it couldn't get any worse good staff being managed out the door by bad management.
To much to say
Rubbish Pay, Rubbish Lorries, Rubbish Management. Its just Rubbish in General.!!!... OK if You Don't have a life out of work. No Good if You Enjoy a Social life or the Company of Your Family. Mon - Fri Knackers You Out So Much that You Spend Your Weekend Off Recovering Rather than Spending quality time with your family and Children..
Long Hours for a Daily Rate
Cool company to work for through agency but not full time as orginisation and wages are not the greatest started in sept 19 to date theres 3 shift mgrs ive only worked with 2 on days and always got on with boath of them. But the company put way to much on staff and management
I still work here unfortunately. Wouldn't recommend this place my worst enemy. The want the penny and the pound out of you. Bonus scheme is a scam. 10 hour for just over mini.wage. avoid at all costs you could loose your licence
Local. Regular pay
Worse job in my lifetime! They think drivers grow on trees and now they are crying for more drivers. Only worked there out of desperation and couldn't wait for them to get rid of me.I think they expected me to me beg?
Watching the transport manager cry when agency drivers didn't show up!
Transport manager, poor money and that was with the agency! Even worse if you went full time.
This like other companies is a male based company. Very busy company who pressure the drivers into doing extra runs/pick ups. Great group of drivers but the place has taken its toll on most. The wage does not reflect the work you do. You are asked to do the maximum and more. Management do not listen and the wrong people are let go.
As a former class 1 driver at Tipton depot, I can say that working for Rhys Davies is difficult to say the least, a lot is said about various logistics making promises to drivers and not carrying them out, well this firm must be one of the worst. The Artics are worn out and dirty, they spend more time in the workshop than on the road, whether you work days or nights, makes no difference you get poor communication from the planners, p/work always missing, and your load is always mixed up. It won’t matter who you complain to, so many Eastern European staff there, you’d think your working abroad. If you enjoy long hours with no overtime this is the place for you, to sum up, get your head looked at before considering working there.

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?
I worked him for around 5 years as a hgv class 2 driver.management haven’t got a clue thenroute planners also haven’t got a clue no communication at all.seriously avoid at all costs.met some good people (drivers) but some of them are snakes and only care about them self, very surprised this company is still running that’s how badly run it really is. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!
Cpc and adr course are in house
12 hour days minimum day rate staff haven’t got a clue old tatty wagons
Was terribly managed long hours for no extra pay badly kept trucks and trailers no one would listen to you bad attitude in office no good to work for stay clear
Monday to friday weekly wage
Long hours nothing in return bad manager managing good staff out yhe door
Typical work was general haulauge in a 18 tonne side curtain wagon.Delevering various pallets from food place, zerox paper, buliding materials and chemicals.Whilst there i gained my ADR licence.Hardest part of the Job was the very long hours, most days were 12 hours sometimes more, which wasnt a problem but wasnt getting payed an hourly rate just a daily rate. Most enjoyable part of the job was just working, driving the 18 tonne vehicles, meeting customers and just enjoying my Job
long hours, and not getting payed for them
