Right at Home GF offers quality care and companionship in the comfort of a client’s own home. We offer a minimum of a one hour call, ensuring that our clients never feel rushed, through to 24-hr live in care. Right at Home GF operates a ‘no stranger’ policy which means that a CareGiver will never be asked to visit a client they have not already met.
With specialist knowledge in dementia care, our team of CareGivers is passionate about upholding the Right at Home values and improving our clients’ quality of life.
We run local Dementia Friends sessions, gardening groups and a dementia cafe for people living with dementia and their carers, enabling them to continue enjoying life in the community.
We listen to our CareGivers - each has regular catch-ups with their Team Leader and a six-monthly supervision; we carry out annual staff satisfaction surveys and arrange regular social and fundraising events. Comments from the latest staff survey include:

Fantastic company to work for, feel supported from day one, there is always a friendly voice at the end of the phone, making the role less isolating, senior carers make regular contact. Team organises monthly team socials and this is a great way to build relationships with your colleagues and supervisors.
From the moment I started with RAH GF, there was plenty of support on hand either from your designated senior carer, manager and/or the HR/office teams. Flexibility attracted me to this role but more importantly I have been encouraged by the company to be myself, to gel with all my clients and to see that making a difference is truly amazing. I get up in the morning and look forward to going to work. Thank you RAH GF for believing in me.
Good company overall, yes slight issues as mentioned in other reviews but what company doesn't have issues?? If you expect to only work 9-5pm then expect to only have work at lunch time because realistically, clients need care first thing in the morning, at lunch, at dinner time and after 7pm for bed assistance. Those who comment that they didn't get hours...it's likely they weren't available to work during the most popular times so what do they expect? Good pay in line with most care agencies, yes holiday is accrued into a 'pot' which you don't 'apply for', you can take out in any monthly pay slip to pay you during annual leave or you can save it until the end of the year and take it all at once! Training is very thorough and regular. Carers work well together, managers are very supportive and take issues to the directors. Pay is based on care experience so jobs will advertise from lowest level to highest. Opportunity to do health and social care diplomas. Due to the nature of the care industry, it is unpredictable in nature with clients passing away or going into nursing homes so you need to be prepared for that but if you are a true carer by nature, the job satisfaction from seeing the joy on your clients faces and the happiness they share with you when having a good visit far outweighs any issues you may have with anything. We have regular team meetings, team socials with a senior carer, company events such as an annual carer/client BBQ, a monthly prize draw for those who pick up extra care calls including big cash prizes! Over the time I've worked for them they've given little gifts of thanks to us over the year. They really put thought into saying thanks to the carers for their dedication. Clients get a minimum of one hour because we believe in creating time for our clients to get to know them so they feel as comfortable in their own homes as possible, no flyby 10/15 min visits here! Give them a try, you have to find the company that suits you.
