I love going to work, making a genuine difference to the clients we support puts a smile on my face every day. The support and training I have had since day one has been excellent. There are lots of extra benefits, occasional gifts, team socials where we can meet other team members, a discount card and a prize draw each month for people who pick up extra work.

Great place to work and lots of opp

I started two years ago as a Caregiver and progressed to a senior Caregiver. My lifestyle changed and the job was able to change with it. I was lucky enough to get a position as a coordinator, using my knowledge of the area, clients and the Caregivers. The company is supportive and flexible, working with me to get a great home work life balance.

Fantastic team and great family feel.

Fantastic company to work for, feel supported from day one, there is always a friendly voice at the end of the phone, making the role less isolating, senior carers make regular contact. Team organises monthly team socials and this is a great way to build relationships with your colleagues and supervisors.

Every day is a rewarding day!

From the moment I started with RAH GF, there was plenty of support on hand either from your designated senior carer, manager and/or the HR/office teams. Flexibility attracted me to this role but more importantly I have been encouraged by the company to be myself, to gel with all my clients and to see that making a difference is truly amazing. I get up in the morning and look forward to going to work. Thank you RAH GF for believing in me.

Overall a good place to work

Good company overall, yes slight issues as mentioned in other reviews but what company doesn't have issues?? If you expect to only work 9-5pm then expect to only have work at lunch time because realistically, clients need care first thing in the morning, at lunch, at dinner time and after 7pm for bed assistance. Those who comment that they didn't get hours...it's likely they weren't available to work during the most popular times so what do they expect?Good pay in line with most care agencies, yes holiday is accrued into a 'pot' which you don't 'apply for', you can take out in any monthly pay slip to pay you during annual leave or you can save it until the end of the year and take it all at once! Training is very thorough and regular. Carers work well together, managers are very supportive and take issues to the directors. Pay is based on care experience so jobs will advertise from lowest level to highest.Opportunity to do health and social care diplomas.Due to the nature of the care industry, it is unpredictable in nature with clients passing away or going into nursing homes so you need to be prepared for that but if you are a true carer by nature, the job satisfaction from seeing the joy on your clients faces and the happiness they share with you when having a good visit far outweighs any issues you may have with anything. We have regular team meetings, team socials with a senior carer, company events such as an annual carer/client BBQ, a monthly prize draw for those who pick up extra care calls including big cash prizes! Great Team to work with .

I have worked for right at home for 6 years and I have enjoyed every minute. Management are very supportive, and there is always the opportunity to do specialist training .

Great work place with great opportunity for carer progression.

Great team to be part of, you feel supported all the way throughout, from the first phone call to your first shift and beyond. Flexible shifts with the possibility to pick extras if needed, the team is really helpful and all come together to help each other. There is always someone at the end of the phone to support you with anything at all, it feels like a big family. On top of it all, we can make a huge difference in peoples lives and feel valued and appreciated. Definitely recommend anyone joining the team.

Decent people to work for

I've worked here for 3 years now and they do things properly here. Unlike the 2 previous home care companies I worked for, Right at Home GF are sincere and respectful of their staff and clients. Also they treat the staff like they are very valued, they have set up a committee to listen to views of the staff and I have seen them make changes to improve things. I like the 1 hour minimum visit too, sometimes it's longer, so you aren't rushing too much. The recruitment and training was particularly good, and the training is more thorough than where I worked before. Decent rates of pay too.

Sometimes asked to cover visits at short notice, but I think this is the nature of the type of work we do.

It was alright

I was alright I really enjoyed my time working for them. I learnt a lot of new skills in sales and I plan to use that in the near future. I grateful for the opportunity I had working there

Good clients, poor management

The client and the client's family are really nice to work with and very understanding, but the management is poor, there are too many nonsense demandings. The management doesn't make any effort to understand the employees.

From day one I have felt part of the family which is testament to the people that work at Right at Home GF. They offer great opportunities on how to grow your career and really gave me the freedom to take on new responsibilities. Kind and thoughtful employer

I love working here. Best place I've ever worked. Great interview process. Great induction. No strangre policy. Try and match you with clients you have something in common with. I love gardening and do that with my clients. It's great. Mentors to help you develop and lots of learnibg available.

I have found my job match

I really enjoy working for Rightathome GF. The flat structure means that there is always someone I can consult or talk to about anything. We try everyday to practice what we preach. This is a care company that goes above and beyond. We have amazing caregivers and we do all we can to care and support them too.

Look elsewhere

What can I say, completely agree with a review below, 2* is a stretch. Everything they promise you at the interview it's just to draw you in. There's not enough hours or clients. They are not flexible despite of what they are advertising. Management not fit to make decisions, and office staff are not supportive or interested. Stay clear

Productive and fun workplace

I have never been so happy in my job! Such a welcoming bunch of people work for RAH and the clients are just as welcoming too. I can’t big up RAH enough - the training course is extremely informative and then going into the community to help someone is so rewarding I really have never been so happy in my career .

Right at home GF

I echo the 2.0* review, although it being generous. I would not recommend working at Right at Home GF. More managers than actual staff. All financial benefits are taken from your low wages towards a "pot scheme" that you need to apply for. No holiday pay from company although they advertise so. No sick pay. Minimal fuel reimbursement. Less than a pound payable, that's only after an hour's worth of travel a day. There aren't enough RAHGF clients to sustain a minimum wage income although this is promised during screen calls and interview. Call coordinators think they run the company and are unpleasant to engage with especially when you request more work.

Not enough work / RAHGF clients. More managers than staff. Minimal income. Waste of time job.
