Commis Waiter in London West, Greater London

Worlplace
Its a busy hotel with very good environment and colleagues. The just inconvenient is the salary, if you work as commis waiter or waiter you get the minimum and it is not enough to live in London.Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh

Extremely stressful environment.
Zero support from managnent , constant pressure for min wage, no bonus whatsoever if targets are met (wich they do 9/10 times) short breaks and really long shifts. No life/work balance and if you request a holiday/day off you beign ignored. Staff members being made redudant during Covid shortly after were reassured that their positions are safe. Avoid at all costs.Regional Director of Marketing in London, Greater London

Wonderful place to work
Fantastic place to work, very friendly team who are genuinely warm and caring. Management are very supportive, they recognise good work and encourage creative thinking. Being part of one of the leading luxury hotel brands in the world creates an authentic and high level of pride and respect between those who work at the company and industry peers.Former Employee in London, Greater London

Poorest Management ever
Not a 5* environment at all when it comes to certain departments’ Managers... the Hotel is really beautiful property, employees quite friendly BUT the Management is really poor! Unexperienced “Managers” interacting less than amateurs with the employees. Fake smiles and bad attitude...Waiter in edinburgh

totally average place
this place is trying to convince you how special they are and how extraordinary service they provide. however it is not true. working there is not any different from whatever average/bellow average hotel. minimum wage all across departments, usually understaffed, even when the hotel is doing great financially you will still get hours cut or get sent home early, management is rubbish- nothing gets ever sorted, organisation is not any good, rota is messed up often, so my days off would typically include a phone call asking me to cover a shift... At least I can say I met some great people there. staff is very diverse from all across the worldWhat would you say about your employer?
