How does someone get hired at Royal Air Force? What are the steps along the way?

First step is to visit a careers office.

If you contact Local recruitment office, follow a balanced diet and fitness training, knowledge of the role you would like to progress in you then have the basic requirements at entry level. Recruitment can be found on the internet for further guidence.

Apply to the RAF recruiting site

Firstly an online application followed by an airman test to decide which trades you can apply for. Then a interview for you trade to see if you are eligible for that role. Then a medial is needed to see if you are able to join the RAF. Once that is complete a fitness test is done in a local gym to see if you meet the physical standards needed. Then prtc is completed a 3 day course at RAF Halton to get an understanding of military life. An acceptance is next. Then you start your basic training at RAF Halton.
