Nicest and most hardworking people in the world within a challenging environment.Very approachable ward matron.I worked in neurology medical ward under older peopel and trauma care.

Not like the rest of England

I have been in the area for a couple of years, wanted to join the bank in order to get to grips with my surroundings, poor support from hr, took a job on trauma unit, no help or support, no time for training, staff uncaring, left after 4 weeks ,limited support from ward staff, so behind the time it’s sad.. now joined the bank, rude staff, no training support, but no other options unless you can travel to Plymouth,.

Long time employee

Have worked for RCHT for many years. Currently on furlough and they have been exceptionally supportive. I also admired the way in which the management have handled this crisis

Pros

Close to where I live

Cons

excellent

This was a great place to work. I had tremendous support from the organisation, particularly the Occupational Health service following a bereavement. I really enjoyed working for this trust

Poor management

There are to many managers who are welling to walk over others to get to where they want. There are good nurses there but there is a culture of blame in the institute. The worst part of working there is the continous looking over your shoulder to see you are safe at work. The best part was caring for my patients.

Cons

No Support
