How are the working hours at Royal Mail?

  • Expect to do atleast an extra 8 hrs a week minimum and forget your breaks if you want to finish anywhere remotely on time.

  • 8 hour shifts 1/2 hour for food and 2 x 15 minute breaks.Usually there is overtime available. Managers are usually lenient for hospital/doctors/children related appointments.

  • 30 hour contract with loads of overtime if wanted. shifts i done were from 6am-2 pm / 6am- 6.30 pm / 8am-2pm /3.30 pm -6 pm plus 40 -70 hour weeks 3 week christmas spell

  • Some good some not so good ,as a part timer had to do 3 days which was great,then changed contract to 4 days working every Saturday not good
