Good Pay

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Good Pay, work is easy enough, terms and conditions may change but currently full sick pay after being with the business for so long, people you work with in the workplace are lovely though.

Great place to work

Always had great managers that listened to the employees. Can be difficult at peak times when work goes through the roof but generally a pretty relaxed work environment

Good customer service

Good customer service locally, nationwide, globally, at a good price. Rewarding job especially when out & about on delivery, good rapport with customers.

Colleagues mostly great a lot of managers not

You won't get your own round for about 10 years. Otherwise used by managers to fill gaps. Managers have their favourites for various reasons. Job is better when you are out and about away from managers

Great place to work

Worked here for 20 years part time, great pay and great office. Flexible start and finish times help my busy lifestyle. Overtime available and plenty of extra hours work over the Christmas period.

Staff lovely management not so great no real leadership

Once out Job is lovely, but over worked no flexibility and not very family friendly with changing shift patterns hopefully will be a great place to work again soon if the union succeed.

Easy work but could of been done easier and more efficiently

Very easy role from checking the vehicle to delivering, the pda system was ok needed debugging as didn't always work the same way but can't complain the role was very easy.

Pros

Relaxed and some good work colleagues

Cons

Chaotic at the start of the shift

Toxic environment

Very unpleasant atmosphere, management are bullies, expect you to do ‘favours’ with nothing in return. Simple enough job to do with any knowledge wouldn’t really recommend

Very productive fun place to work

There is always someone there to ask for help and support management or staff . Vans are always fueled ready for you to go out PDA and keys put out for you all you have to do is turn up

Pros

Job and finish

Cons

Can't think of any

Very nice bunch of people to work but work environment has changed drastically since privatisation.

When i started to work for RM it was really nice place, with decent wages and good working hours. However since the privatisation it was getting harder physically and mentally.Generally constant pressure and rush. It's a shame because it used to be a really good place to work.

Good environment to work on your own

It’s demanding job, long walks with bags, 20k+ steps a day, keeps you in good health. Work load is more during Christmas period. Ones you finish your work enjoy your time with family.

Pros

Paid break

Cons

Short hours

Pros

Taking care on the roads

Cons

When you have to bring parcel back to depot.

Good company to work for.

Good company to work for and I find time goes quite fast. They do try to get a shot much work as they can out of you but, overall it’s alright. Once you know the area you work in it become self quite simple.

Pros

Quite independent Active

Cons

At times overloaded

Fun job, Corrupt/ horrible Management (Few exceptions)

The job itself is great, however being let go because they tracked me going to a Sainsburys less than 10 min away from my delivery to use the toilet 3 times in 7 hours is messed up.

Pros

driving, scheduling your own route with the packages given.

Cons

Long hours if you want to finish the load you're assigned, Horrible management, old and inflexible as well as using stupid excuses to fire either temp or agency workers.

Royal Mail delivery job review

A typical day did involve doing things such as delivering parcels but also scanning parcels and doing vehicle checks prior to setting off. Easy to get on with others but easy to get into the job once you get into a routine.

Good money but no long term security

I worked through manpower and the wage was very good at 11.55 raising too 11.87 ph. Normally always overtime. Unfortunately once it goes quiet you dont get much notice if any about shifts ect.

Pros

Wages

Cons

Long term job security
