Postman (Current Employee) - Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire - 18 May 2022
Once was a good job but now it’s all about productivity and profits for shareholders at the expense of staff welfare/ health and customer service , Very physical job which so called managers think is easy , it’s not and they just want more and more work from you , has become a very physically and mentally draining job which I wouldn’t recommend for the way that you are treated like by ‘managers’ , I use the term manager loosely as they are either graduates with no knowledge of the business or failed post persons looking for an easier ride , but then trying to push you to do the job that they couldn’t keep up with

Very stressful environment to work in. Managers constantly looking over your shoulder why in the depot. Expecting you to do a larger amount of work than you can physically do in a day.
