Meh place to work
The advertised job description didn't match my everyday role. I ended up doing all sort of tasks, which might be good at first instance but then you don't get recognition for it.They will present you as an engineer in the bids but then they'll pay you as a graduate.

Friendly place, low pay, no incentives.
Not the job for a proper family man, work away Monday-Friday nearly every week for minimum wage, no extra incentives, erratic hours. Not a bad place to work overall there are just many niggling issues and there aren’t many satisfied employees.

Interesting way of working, but not for me
There were lots of times when I didn't have a great deal to do as the managers were pretty busy and couldn't dedicate anyone to train the new people up properly. I learned that the hours weren't really suitable for me in ecology as I have a family life and it was too disruptive to my sleep. Maybe more suited to single young folk straight out of uni who can handle/manage the lack of sleep! Hardest part of the job was the unsociable hours and not getting a response from the managers about what you should be doing when you had little on. The most enjoyable part of the job was staying in some nice places occasionally and having expenses paid.

Go, get home, get paid
You get to start when you want. Do your work and get home. There are targets to be met and if something happens like a flat on the van then on your head be it for not meeting those targets.Your day starts when you're on site not when you're in the van, I've had this as high as 90 minutes travel time before. You work for a few pennies over minimum wage and are expected to be grateful that it isn't actually minimum wage. Meanwhile you're out in all weather working in the middle of traffic and taking abuse off the general public on occasion.
