horrible toxic bullying culture. coo is the worst of them, she shouts and swears at everyone all the time and when people leave she lies about why but evertone knows. everyone in salon and head office is scared and anxous all the time. pay is terrible. presure is awful. revolving door of people coming and going, no proffessionalism at all. how this company has not been done before is beyond me. Stay well away!!!! you will need counsleing after working here!!!!!
They treat you like they can replace you in seconds and aren’t understanding about much . They pay a tiny salary and expect everything to be done for them the company bosses are really nice however they only come into salons when necessary
Badly place to work, unfriendly attitude. They want you to work for free at all, treating you like a slave. Pay the minimum because they believes they can teach you something but you never learn anything because all they do is using you for everything they can.
Long hours for nothing
staff was always friendly customers were a pleasure to work with was never a hard part because I always tried my best most enjoyable part was working around the customers and getting to communicate with them day in day out
free blow dry
A typical day at work was different depending on the days. If we had a colour deal on the salon would be very busy. I learnt how to work in a big team and be on my feet throughout the day. I learnt how to behave in a working environment. The hardest part of the job was when we were very busy and i was constantly shampooing and having to keep the salon clean.
lack of support within this community, no one really has time to help you as their too busy. The floor was very unorganized and management would not show juniors or assistants different ways to apply techniques. Lack of training and mentoring
free hair styles and blowdrys
poor pay, benefits, long hours, standing all day, long travel
it has helped me understand the reality of the working life and working at rush -for me is a great work experience to have as it has taught me how to use my very good customer service skills. the management at rush is good because everything always organised and if anyone feels like there is a problem, they felt comfortable to talk to the manager about problems will get dealt with imminently. the hardest part of the job for me would be working extrea hard as i was doing a 3 person job. theres ment to be least 3 assians and i was the only one. the easyest part was talking to customers.
I learnt how to wash hair, attend to front desk, answer questions that the clients may have, and if I was unsure I had to ask one of my co-workers, serve drinks, clean the floor, make sure everything is clean and tidy etc. The part that I enjoyed the most was meeting the new people that came in the salon. The hardest part of the job was having to hoover and mop the entire shop floor by my self. I learnt how to help different people with different requirements. Most of the co-workers are lovely and friendly but there are some that very extrovert but I would expect that at any work place.
Mostly lovely people that work there.
Long hours but to be honest I did not mind.
