This September they made redundant people during the pandemic period , and me too. Said don't have jobs now. Don't important how long u work or how you are good stylist. They do not know how to handle people who are not fake personality. And after this is all company start looking people again. Your position will never be safe there.
only good stuff in my salon
poor salary, poor manadgment
manger at epsom absolutely awful to clients and staff ,just there to make money ,doesnt matter what your works like if your not upselling and she doesn't like you your out ,the stylist there are amazing though ,they work really hard with no appreciation ,
great Christmas party
Management across the entire company
I worked for a short time in Rush Ealing Broadway London. Through that time I had a great experience. Unfortunatelyy time was cut short due to family crisis. Would love to get the experience to work for Rush again if they ever come to North East England.
One big family of creative people.
Currently no salons up the North of England.
This company only wants to benefit by how much money you can get out of customers. You have a weekly unrealistic target that your supposed to hit and can be very hard to achieve. Rush put you on there own hair course. If you decide to leave before a year you will owe them 1500. They do not care about there employees. One day before the government said they will give 80% to workers they decided to terminated a lot of people’s contacts.
Worst company I’ve ever worked for, Poor management, It’s like the hunger games especially with the manager, I was there 14 months and watched 11 stylist leave I had 3 managers and the last was by far the worst, Long hours Poor pay Poor management The only good thing was the training although you only benefited if you was full time
Ive been working at Rush in Nottingham for the past 4 months and i already feel like i am improving as a stylist. They care about your feelings and your needs, they ask you what youre confident and not so confident in doing and dont pressurize you into doing something youre not comfortable with but also set up courses at their London Academy to build your confidence to learn more things improve on skills and anything you struggle with. The hours are quite flexible. You never work more than 9 hours in a day whether its starting earlier or finishing later. Manager is very friendly and proffesional. Takes matter into own hands and makes sure everyone is treated fairly and equally leaving no one feeling left out or bullied. Im really happy working here. Its a wonderful experience amazing clients
Working till 9
Rush is an amazing place to work for, the opportunities you have within Rush is AMAZING! Fantastic training, opportunities to enter competition including British Hairdressinh award and much more. Is a very fast pace salon so it can be hard as you will get fully booked very quickly but the comission structure is great and you can earn a very high wage, your holiday pay is also based on a average of how much money you make so you can take your holiday and still end up with the full wage as if you haven’t been away at all! A lot of perks for working for the company, including having PerkBox, a plataform where you can have discounts in many places, shops, restaurants, enterteriment etc.
Great comission, good holiday pay, training and opportunities.

Jobs at RUSH Hair and Beauty
I’ve worked at many different companies by far this one is the best! They’re very flexible with days working and pay isn’t too bad for the industry! I work with a great team and that keeps me motivated! Loads of courses available for stylists which is always good for progression!
Long hours - but expected in the industry!
This is an awful place to work , if you love hairdressing don’t work hear as they will strip you of your passion and work you like a machine . Long hours and appalling pay . When you do have a second be prepared to go out flyering on the streets for an hour rain or shine . Poorly managed on ALL levels with NO CARE for staff . AVOID AVOID AVOID . You’ve been warned :)
Knowing I never have to go back
I worked part time and have medical reason for requiring a break but this is beside the point as when your working 9 hours in the UK your entitled to a break by law and the company just didn't care about that! The poor manager of the salon had very little training and spent most of her time with things that she had never really been show how to do with very little to no support from above. All in all I wouldn't want to work with Rush again without it's in writing that you get a lunch but even then it's bound to get take away
Access to lots of training when you pay for you own travel
Long hours, no breaks and very little support from management
I worked At rush Romford. The management was awful to the point where all the staff were leaving. I myself was a victim of his bullying behaviour aswell as witnessing other members of staff have to put up with this. The stock being low was always an issue, which can really take its toll on busier days. This included colour and shampoos. The atmosphere was awful most days. Wages were also an issue most months where most of the staff would be underpaid. Lunch breaks were deducted from your wages even if you never got to take one. I would not recommend anyone to work here. Awful place
Rubbish wages, poor management
You work stupid hours no break, they pack you out when they are trying to bring more money in which means you don’t stop for your whole shift. Money is awful your on minimum wage until you hit commission but they make it out like it’s only a month your on minimum wage for it’s all a lie, if your quite they treat you like cleaner and assistant which isn’t what you’r getting paid for. Just don’t work for them it’s awful and you’ll regret it
Get your hair done for free occasionally
Long hours, no break, bad pay
Rush thought me everything i know about hair. I use to work in kings cross hair salon. working for Rush, if you willing to work hard you get where ever you need all the edcation you can handle. manger could relax a little bit. that would help.
no brek and manger is to hotheded sometims
Good company to work for..... on going training is offered from a great art team so you get out of it what you put in! hard work pays off... it is long hours but if you enjoy what you do it's all worth it.... it's a fast pace and plenty of opportunities here....
