Bad:money wise not great,some of the trailers are a PIAGood:everything else.Friendly,no phone calls,no stress.If you like working on your own and be left alone,that's the perfect company to work for.

Busy place.Lots of international work including UK.Mostly carrying chemicals in drums and IBCs.Family run business which is a mixed bag but overall, family and staff are genuine and nice when you get to know them.Mechanics are skilled and patient but have a lot of work on their plates.Trailer yard can get a bit cramped and being able to reverse at angles is essential.

Pros

Traffic don't chase, all over SMS.

Cons

Trailers are a mixed bag. Carrying around wooden boards to strap down loads

Owner treats you like rubbish! Says drivers know nothing and he is the best at everything. Work is easy enough as long as you strap up very securely. Traffic are 2 faced and stab u in the back with management all the time. Owners son manages traffic and is like a petulant cry baby always running to daddy. Start on Monday finish Saturday or start Sunday finish Friday. Trucks are shocking. Pieces falling off while u are driving! Trucks are dirty and smell of cigarettes with fridges (if u are lucky enough to get a truck with one) seldom work properly. They will change ur truck without telling you and throw your food away and all your gear in the back of the warehouse if they need ur truck over the weekend or if you take a few days off. Trailers are shocking and falling apart. DSA who is on site should actually pull finger and do their job properly. Then to add insult to injury management will tell you that you don’t fit !!!

The lack of transparency at the company is astonishing. The pay changes despite completing the same work week in week out. The management and office culture is run by fear and bullying tactics. You will work longer hours than initially discussed. The workers in the yard are very friendly and helpful but moan about the boss all day. If you are a brand new or fairly new driver stay away from S and K. You need to have experience at dealing with the controlling and bullying nature of the family members who own S and K. Stay away if you are a positive and decent person.
