Hectic unstructured more to aim to get revenue
Purchasing (Current Employee) - Bridgend - 12 April 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedVery unstructured strategically they plan day to day operations more emphasis on meeting targets and revenue so can be very hectic. Management are very clicky but there are some good departments to work for Overall pay well and pretty good working conditions

Insights into SAS International
Areas for improvement
- Sense of belonging
- Inclusive work environment
- Support from manager
Avoid
Factory Operative (Former Employee) - Bridgend - 10 April 2022
Either you're working flat out with managers breathing down your neck or there's nothing to do and it's a mind-numbingly boring. No coherent forward planning, always running out of raw materials and most managers are willing to pass the buck onto anyone else. A pretty shambolic place to work and the pay isn't remotely impressive.
Cons
Early starts. Rubbish atmosphere, rubbish money.

Great place to work with opportunities for progression
Marketing (Current Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 25 March 2022
Great place to work with opportunities for progression and supportive management. I have only worked at the company for under a year but I can already see how passionate staff are about their work. There are opportunities to collaborate with other teams on projects and fun charity events!

Please do not work here
Please for your sanity do not work here. Management have no clue. Some of them really do not seem to do much. Seems they give people promotions without previous Management experience. It is also top heavy, too many managers, supervisors etc.. The lazy are rewarded, I actively saw Microsoft Teams being used for sending stupid gifs etc instead of work related . And mobile phone misuse by same people. Yet these people were rewarded with pay increases. Beggars belief. The only pro was that people were generally nice.
Pros
Nice enough people
Cons
Management

Not the greatest place to work
Designer (Former Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 8 May 2021
Poor management and lack of respect to employees, lead to a stressful working environment. Management is rude to lower ranked people, something that I haven't faced elsewhere throughout my career. It's okay to work there as a contractor, but if you are looking for a company to invest your time this shouldn't be your first choice.

Take take take organise mess management
Carpenter (Former Employee) - Oldbury, West Midlands - 11 April 2021
I'm being completely honest when I tell you do not waste you time with SAS. There are some good people working there but the management are completely incompetent and don't work as a team. Because of this for me and other co workers it became a very unhappy place to work, with alot of issues that affected the work force and lower management unresolved and egnored.
Pros
Some good people
Cons
Bad management

Friendly But Professional workplace
Order Processor / Goods Inwards (Former Employee) - Oldbury - 14 October 2020
Really enjoyed my time here. The people I worked with were very friendly and I was trained to do the goods inwards role with patience and detail. They pay above the living wage and generally seem to look after their employees.
Pros
Friendly, fast paced, interesting
Cons
None

Cons

Jobs at SAS International
Good place to work in the office as long as the roof didn't leak.
Designer (Former Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 26 August 2020
Some of the permanent staff (mainly junior and wannabe managers and one director no longer there) treated you a an inferior because you were only a contractor (temp) and resented you got paid more than them, the rest were super people who saw you for what you had to offer.
Pros
Flexible dinner hours.
Cons
This company made metal ceiling tiles but Couldn't fix it's own leaking roof, which leaked into the offices and onto electrical equipment.

Very nice working atmosphere.
Senior Project Designer (Former Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 10 March 2020
8:30 till 5:30 with 1 hr break. Very nice and friendly people . Some top management (now gone) didn't like the staff making them aware of Health & Safety protocol they were not adhering to, eg lighting up their cigs on the way to the designated smoking area, not wearing had hats/Hi-Viz.
Some people that had previously left only to come back (by finding out "the grass is not greener on the other side of the road").

Not at all a good place for beginners
Passenger Service Agent (Former Employee) - Stansted Airport - 9 March 2020
If you’re new to travel industry, it’s not a good place to work for, because in France you can see on your pay slips that it very good pay to work at the airport, I just don’t understand why so people want to work in airport here in England. Even the agents rest rooms have nothing to do with France. England airport jobs are a joke !

Very poor
Powder Coater (Former Employee) - Oldbury - 27 February 2020
Worked here for a year and a half and let go because there quiet. Other staff take the mick and do as they please (that's if they turn up) blind management. If it went to redundency it would have been a different outcome but they chose to get rid of the new guy to save money rather than keeping the better worker and getting rid of the people with poor performance and attendance. Dont apply if you want a long term career.

Senior Management are a Disgrace
Staff (Former Employee) - Staff - 26 February 2020
Senior management are bullies BUT good news... you can avoid that by trying to get yourself into the 'favourites club' because then you'll be fine! Only requires a little brown nosing to start then you can usually maintain membership with some ego massages and lots of fake laughter. The culture is awful, they want blood out of stone, unfairness in salaries, lots of box ticking, lots of dodgy dealings, everyone there is bald from stress, lies galore, no shame in treating people like they're aliens and making them miserable, little to no support, HR? Don't get me started - joke, false promises, c**k sword fighting... overall a very toxic environment to work in, prison actually comes to mind. If you're a genuine person you deserve better, steer clear, the companies a sinking ship.
