Awful place to work
Survey Quality Control Inspector (Former Employee) - Bradford - 16 February 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAwful place to work . Management are purely target driven and dont care about employees at all. Even when my mum passed away all they could do was give me grief about targets not been met

Good training poor as soon as as joined Brighton area
Sales representative (Former Employee) - Brighton - 14 September 2023
Ring in at 9am to say your available wait all day for a call to give you a survey in 1/2 hour but only 20 mins before when you get it or wait all day can call you to do surveys at 8pm waiting all day if you get any. Was told would get 2 to 3 minimum per day lucky to get 1 before I left got 1 on Mon /0 on Tues /2 on weds /0 on thur then left waiting about 40 hours for leads over 4 days training excellent thought would be a great company to work for (false promises) wouldn't be able to make £400 to £500 per week paying for your own vehicle and petrol. Didn't get paid for the 2 days I worked or comps. Expect me to drop samples and tablet back at a cost to me

Cons

Worst place to work.
Door Canvasser (Former Employee) - Bristol - 13 August 2023
Working for Safe Style UK, and I must say it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I was greeted by an atmosphere of disarray and disregard for employees' well-being. One of the most glaring issues was the management's complete lack of communication and transparency. Important decisions seemed to be made behind closed doors, leaving employees in the dark about changes that directly affected their roles and responsibilities. This led to confusion, frustration, and ultimately a toxic work environment where no one knew where they stood. The work-life balance at Safe Style UK was nothing short of non-existent. The company's constant push for unrealistic sales targets resulted in relentless pressure on the sales team. Long working hours were the norm, and even weekends were not off-limits. This blatant disregard for employees' personal lives and well-being was truly disheartening. Additionally, the company's treatment of its employees was shocking. The management displayed a complete lack of respect for their staff, often speaking down to them and belittling their efforts. There was no recognition for hard work or dedication, and any attempts to voice concerns were met with dismissive attitudes. The work environment itself was a reflection of the company's lack of care. Cramped and outdated office spaces, malfunctioning equipment, and a general lack of basic amenities made it clear that employee comfort was not a priority. It's as if the company saw its employees as expendable resources rather than valuable team members. To make matters -

Lack of communication
Venue Sales Generator (Former Employee) - Plymouth, Devon - 15 November 2022
Just a quick heads up about people going straight from unemployed to working for Safestyle. You have to pay for your fuel for a whole month which is quite a chunk of cash. Plus the fuel to Wolverhampton to do your initial training. This is reimbursed on the 17th of the month. So if you start on or after this date it's a long time. You will require at least £600 to cover your fuel costs alone. This is not highlighted during the interview process or at training. Never thought I'd be standing in a supermarket entrance trying to flag people down either. This is a soul destroying approach to Sales unless you are thick skinned or don't mind this kind of work.

Workplace
Field Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - Romford - 2 November 2022
Very poor place to work leads are given to staff via cherry picking instead of the rep who lives closet to the lead. Would never recommend anyone to work here. The pay structure is an absolute joke aswell. STAY CLEAR

Exploitative employer
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - Bristol, Bristol - 16 August 2022
Treat their staff appallingly. 14-hour day, promised a car (no car), promised basic salary (2/3 of that promised), promised 10% commission whereas the reality is nearer 1%

Don’t do it
Sales rep (Current Employee) - Midlands - 6 January 2022
It’s commission based , due to high prices you have to discount to a level where there is very little or no commission, and management don’t care and if you ask for help you’ll be ignored, managers have a written target and as long as they get it they get paid, so it doesn’t matter about discount

A little cliquey
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Plymouth, Devon - 17 December 2021
A lot of waiting for a lead call. Good training with visits to HO and manufacturing plant. Local management was a bit cliquey and immature. The hardest part of the job was being ordered to apply hard-sell tactics in inappropriate scenarios. The best parts were self-employment, variety, good earnings.
Pros
Good earnings. One-to-one with the public. Reasonably local area.
Cons
Too much waiting by the phone for a lead call, leads not always of good quality so some wasted travel at your own expense.

Nice people to work for, but feel I've been misled.
Foot Canvasser (Current Employee) - Norfolk - 20 October 2021
A day in the life of a Foot Canvasser I post leaflets to home owners.I can choose when I work, and working alone, is low risk during the pandemic It's daily exercise, out in the sunshine. It's far better than being in an office or shop with delegated shifts My manager is a nice guy. The job itself is fantastic, and my friends envy me. But there's things I wasn't told at the interviewI was told that it was weekly pay, one week in hand, guaranteed for the first seven weeks only NO LEAFLETS TO POST FOR 2/3 WEEKS AT TIME EQUALS NO EARNINGS! At the interview I was told that there is the opportunity to progress. IF I HAVEN'T GOT LEAFLETS FOR MYSELF, HOW IS THIS GOING TO WORK? This could have been a really good opportunity, and it is such a shame.
Pros
Choose your hours, exercise in the sunshine, nice people to work for
Cons
No leaflets, no earnings, and after the first seven weeks, it's commission only

Representative (Former Employee) - North Wales - 15 September 2021
Didn't think the branch understood the logistics of North Wakes. Weren't really interested in where you we're expected to get to in time range. Management attitude rip the boxes out of the price to get the sale or I,m sending someone else back next time!
Pros
Mot much to say, as didn"t feel part of a team.
Cons
Money nowhere near what pitched at interview.

Overworked, underpaid, full of lies, zero diversity
Manager (Former Employee) - South East - 10 August 2021
When I first started 4 years ago the company was great it is now just take take take from the new management. If you are a person of colour you have little to no chance of progression. They look for every excuse not to pay bonuses. Pay structure can change weekly. They look to rip off their customers and have no respect for their staff. Avoid Safestyle at all costs!!!!
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, unreliable pay, racism, homophobia and sexism are rife within the company

Things are lapse
Health & Safety Inspector (Former Employee) - Bradford, West Yorkshire - 9 July 2021
Not good you are pushed to rush and at times told to turn a blind eye to certain things to just let them finish a job. The managers bend all the rules and take playbacks for decent jobs to be given to fitters

Not enough engineer's for jobs
Customer Service Call Handler (Former Employee) - Bradford - 22 April 2021
I worked here for 4 weeks because its all I could cope with the term helpline was not entirely true it should be renamed complaints line .. calls regarding shoddy workmanship constantly and engineers not turning up to jobs and lack of slots to place engineers on was a constant issue with customers rightfully shocked at how long between calling in and having an engineer coming out .. often two or 3 month wait ! With the helpline getting the brunt of the aggression from the public when it was mostly depots not doing their jobs properly...
Pros
Pay
Cons
Aggressive customer's
