Worst place to work.
Door Canvasser (Former Employee) - Bristol - 13 August 2023
Working for Safe Style UK, and I must say it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I was greeted by an atmosphere of disarray and disregard for employees' well-being. One of the most glaring issues was the management's complete lack of communication and transparency. Important decisions seemed to be made behind closed doors, leaving employees in the dark about changes that directly affected their roles and responsibilities. This led to confusion, frustration, and ultimately a toxic work environment where no one knew where they stood. The work-life balance at Safe Style UK was nothing short of non-existent. The company's constant push for unrealistic sales targets resulted in relentless pressure on the sales team. Long working hours were the norm, and even weekends were not off-limits. This blatant disregard for employees' personal lives and well-being was truly disheartening. Additionally, the company's treatment of its employees was shocking. The management displayed a complete lack of respect for their staff, often speaking down to them and belittling their efforts. There was no recognition for hard work or dedication, and any attempts to voice concerns were met with dismissive attitudes. The work environment itself was a reflection of the company's lack of care. Cramped and outdated office spaces, malfunctioning equipment, and a general lack of basic amenities made it clear that employee comfort was not a priority. It's as if the company saw its employees as expendable resources rather than valuable team members. To make matters -

Terrible company
Canvasser (Former Employee) - Preston, Lancashire - 14 January 2022
Awful to work for classes as self employed so they can pay you nothing, the managers are psychopaths and threaten physical violence if you complain about no pay

Nice people to work for, but feel I've been misled.
Foot Canvasser (Current Employee) - Norfolk - 20 October 2021
A day in the life of a Foot Canvasser I post leaflets to home owners.I can choose when I work, and working alone, is low risk during the pandemic It's daily exercise, out in the sunshine. It's far better than being in an office or shop with delegated shifts My manager is a nice guy. The job itself is fantastic, and my friends envy me. But there's things I wasn't told at the interviewI was told that it was weekly pay, one week in hand, guaranteed for the first seven weeks only NO LEAFLETS TO POST FOR 2/3 WEEKS AT TIME EQUALS NO EARNINGS! At the interview I was told that there is the opportunity to progress. IF I HAVEN'T GOT LEAFLETS FOR MYSELF, HOW IS THIS GOING TO WORK? This could have been a really good opportunity, and it is such a shame.
Pros
Choose your hours, exercise in the sunshine, nice people to work for
Cons
No leaflets, no earnings, and after the first seven weeks, it's commission only

Canvasser (Current Employee) - Plymouth, Devon - 1 August 2020
Since lockdown was lifted ive been earning more money a week here as a canvasser than a lot of ppl earn a month. It's not easy work but if you work hard you can go far and have a lot of laughs and banter along the way. Now just been promoted to aca
Pros
£700-£1500+ a week. Great banter

relaxed but competitive
Driver/ Canvasser (Former Employee) - Nottingham - 15 November 2019
working with safestyle was exciting as a driver but was hard aswell trying to pick your team up when they live allover the city and then start to earn your act money when your out in the field. hardest part about job is trying to get customers on door to actually make a wage

Stay away from this company - be warned
Canvasser (Former Employee) - UK - 25 October 2019
Without a doubt this is the worst place I have ever worked. As others have said on here all the managers are manipulators and will say anything to keep you there. It is advertised as a driving job but its cold calling. The advert says 400-800 per week but you will be lucky to get £200. All you do is make others richer
Question everything and trust no-one. Stay away from this company!!

Driver/canvasser (Former Employee) - South East - 18 October 2019
well I learnt a lot working here, there is potential to earn money here as its commissioned based, but as well theirs the risk of earning nothing. very random and disorganized but that may appeal to some!

Poor
Canvasser (Former Employee) - Wolverhampton, West Midlands - 30 September 2019
In the interview didn’t get told what I was doing till I got there which was a course also the pay is really poor unless you get certain amount of leads which is only £40 a lead which you didn’t get unless a sales member goes to the customer door also expect you learn everything within a couple of day and staff was leaving every couple of days but would be good for for someone young where can learn the trade but if need money for anything not enough to be made

Rubbish
Canvasser (Former Employee) - Sittingbourne, Kent - 8 June 2019
Absolutely disgusting, staff are rude, start at 9 and finish at 8 and not on hourly pay so you don’t earn anything and if you do it’s not a lot
I would not work of safe style
Cons
Not hourly pay, commission only £40 per lead

Fun outdoors, if you can't master it, it might be the worst paying job
The job is great for especially teenagers that still have protection of household being supplied by family which leaves them being able to learn the job greatly while still earning a bit on the side. If the job is for you and you can master it then quick promotions will head your way allowing you to earn possibly the most realistically without any grades or achievements in school. If you can't though it might be worth to skip on it after 6 weeks or so because that'd be my recommended time to try it out and see how you handle it. You can't have a negative attitude towards this job because that will directly affect your attitude to possible customers and leave you with even lower wages.

a great place to work
Canvasser (Former Employee) - Wolverhampton - 24 July 2018
safestyle was a great company and I learned a lot about customer service while I was here. it is a very relaxed atmosphere. you can come and go as you please while working on phones so if you decide you want a quick 5 minute break you're not questioned. as long as the work is done and you're hitting your targets
Pros
freedom
Cons
the lead sheets are very outdated, some going back 10+ years
