was a fun and exciting job environment
Salesman (Former Employee) - Cardiff, Cardiff - 7 September 2019
Whilst I believe the job was okay the pay was awful and was met with a zero hour contract. The management was a little all over the place but they would at least inform you of the deals they had, which you would deliver to the customer and would personally treat yourselves very well

Joining SafeStyle as Salesperson .....
Salesman for All Products (Current Employee) - East Anglia - 22 August 2019
It's been 2 weeks now since I finished my Training course in Barnsley. I was Totally New to the Double Glazing market, having avoided it in the past due to the inherent "reputation" of that market sector.
The Training I received was straight forward, and the facts & figures were all evidence-based. This alone helped me to understand just why SafeStyle had become the Number 1 Supplier of Double Glazing Windows and Doors in the UK.
On my first day back at my Local Office, I was assigned to a couple of Experienced Colleagues to go and observe the selling process out in the field.
After going on 5 or 6 appointments, I tried on my own..... (by choice, but good to know that the experienced guys were more than willing to come with you, should I have felt the need) It was a bit Scary at first, but now, having taken 7 Orders in my first 2 weeks, I'm absolutely loving it !! (and this is a quiet time of year...)
I would recommend that people should at the very least, give it a go. Even if you then feel that it's not for you, the Experience you will gain, is something that can only Help you, in any future Career.

Not the best place
Driver/Salesman (Former Employee) - Bradford - 15 December 2016
It was okay to work at but it was commision only with no basic pay. Some weeks would be good and other ones would be awful. Wouldn't work back there

Good earning potential but poorly treated staff
Salesman (Current Employee) - WLS - 6 October 2015
Good earning potential but you have to find your way through all the rubbish they tell you to get you on board first. There were lots of lies. Managers give you leads and sometimes you have to drive a long way to get to appointments where people don't want windows and have been pushed into appointments. As a company they are the best in the market and the quality is there to sell. However repetative bull**** can get on top of you and morale is difficult to uphold. With that said the money is there to be made and the potential is there to earn in excess of £1000 per week averaged out
Pros
good money
Cons
really long hours, sometimes 9am leave and and midnight returns, Managerial jargon and sales bull**** you have to put up with

Hard but rewarding
Salesman (Former Employee) - Stoke-on-Trent, ENG - 1 March 2015
A normal day at SafeStyle definitely required a good nights sleep, as a salesman I would have to walk down streets analyzing all the houses to see which would be the most appropriate to knock on, for example; One with rotting window sills or condensation in the windows. Those being the most likely, to be interested or even consider having a quote of you. for this job I got to really practice my communication and interaction skills, as every house was different facing a new person on each door, each with a completely different mind set. The hardest part of the job was when you were to knock on a door and they would swear at you, but then again here I got to practice being able to hold my temper and use the 'customer is always right' approach. the most rewarding part of this job would be that I got to meet a lot of people who were also very nice and with the wage being competitive, the harder you worked the more money you would get.

A job for conmen only
DOUBLE GLAZING SALESMAN (Former Employee) - ENG - 1 March 2015
Working for safestyle uk only confirmed what I always thought of glazing companies .They seem to be owned by crooks and run by parasites who con the customers out of they,re hard earned cash as a means of making they,re wages up .

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?
I found the envoiroment not to my liking but enjoyed driving about.
Salesman (Former Employee) - ENG - 29 August 2014
You neede to be a person of a certain character to be successful at that job, I was not the kind of person who would be successful
I tended to get on with my co-workers on a personal level, but did have difficulties with management at times.
Geting to drive about & meet new people.

Unreliable Incomme
Window Salesman (Former Employee) - West Yorkshire - 30 January 2014
As with any commission job it is an unreliable source of income, And at times it can be a complete waste of your time if you get no sale as you have drove all the way to a customers house to receive nothing in return and use of your own petrol and car.
It is not really the sort of job to meet your colleges as you receive phone calls from home or on the road to move straight to the next house.
Very unsociable hours as you are obviously on the jobs when customers come in from work so not much time to yourself on an evening.

Sales
Salesperson (Former Employee) - Reading, ENG - 15 November 2013
Knocking doors on a daily basis trying to sell double glazing was very hard. Especially when it is commission based. People did not always respond to well to random people knocking on their door.
The pressure was on to sell and for quite some time I managed quite well. When the sales were being made it was very satisfying. Working alongside a great team we had some fun in the process.
Pros
lift to work and back home everyday
Cons
commission based only

Hard work, fun sometimes and payed well.
Salesman (Former Employee) - Middlesbrough, ENG - 5 June 2013
I would walk about all day knocking on doors trying to get a sale. Most people would be either too busy or annoyed i was at their door. I learned to be more enthusiastic and motivated. The management was pretty poor as i would be sent to other ares that had been done the week before and from time to time my sales would magically dissapear to one of the poorer teams. It was not all that doom and gloom though as i would look forward to working with my team and getting a nice wage at the end of the week that was mainly the most enjoyable part of the job.
Pros
Big deals
Cons
Cold Calling
