Worst place to work.
Door Canvasser (Former Employee) - Bristol - 13 August 2023
Working for Safe Style UK, and I must say it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I was greeted by an atmosphere of disarray and disregard for employees' well-being. One of the most glaring issues was the management's complete lack of communication and transparency. Important decisions seemed to be made behind closed doors, leaving employees in the dark about changes that directly affected their roles and responsibilities. This led to confusion, frustration, and ultimately a toxic work environment where no one knew where they stood. The work-life balance at Safe Style UK was nothing short of non-existent. The company's constant push for unrealistic sales targets resulted in relentless pressure on the sales team. Long working hours were the norm, and even weekends were not off-limits. This blatant disregard for employees' personal lives and well-being was truly disheartening. Additionally, the company's treatment of its employees was shocking. The management displayed a complete lack of respect for their staff, often speaking down to them and belittling their efforts. There was no recognition for hard work or dedication, and any attempts to voice concerns were met with dismissive attitudes. The work environment itself was a reflection of the company's lack of care. Cramped and outdated office spaces, malfunctioning equipment, and a general lack of basic amenities made it clear that employee comfort was not a priority. It's as if the company saw its employees as expendable resources rather than valuable team members. To make matters -

Insights into Safestyle UK
Areas for improvement
- Sense of belonging
- Energising work tasks
- Trust in colleagues
Wouldn't recommend
Sales Agent (Current Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 29 January 2020
There is little in the way of management or training.
The quality of the leads varies hugely with only a handful of them being genuine customers looking to buy. The 'management' (used loosely) play a game of favourites providing the better leads to the reps that are currently in favour and sending the others on wild goose chases, if you complain about a lead being unsuitable you are guaranteed a week of minimum leads and leads of poor quality.
Despite claiming to be trying to clean up the company image there is still a culture of the hard sell, often to vulnerable people, and managment offering heavy discounts to entice them to buy at the expense of any commission for the rep.
Pros
You'll have plenty of free time
Cons
Driving long distances for no reward

Competitive salary?? Really??
Window and Door Installer (Former Employee) - Crayford, Kent - 18 December 2019
After a very positive briefing of the company’s history, targets and future plans on the day of my interview I was then offered the job.
It was a Friday afternoon and I was asked would I be available the Monday after next.
I was and from then I was looking forward to start my new job at Safe Style UK.
At first everything was just how I was told in my interview. Brand new van, PPE, all required materials needed per install.
However, no need for a van, PPE and materials if you have no installs.
This is where my experience at Safe Style UK was most definitely one to forget.
Main reason why I applied for the vacant position was the competitive salary and the fact there was so much work that if I wanted I could even work weekends.
The company works on a rates basis paid per item installed. Shared equal with your college as you work in a team of 2.
I would be lucky to get 3 or 4 items per day to install. More realistically an average of 2 items per day and towards my very short stay at Safe Style UK became 4 days a week then 3 days a week and 1 item per day to install.
It came to the point where I was paying to go to work as the fuel allowance was not sufficient.
Can’t fault the company for supplying everything needed such as a van, PPE, uniform, materials and the necessary training required.
But like I said what’s the point if you have no installs and making no money.
Pointless!

Stressful
Telesales representative and Canvasser (Former Employee) - Festival Park - 13 November 2019
Unfriendly staff, unpleasant. No colleagues put effort into being friendly which lead to a miserable day. Hardest part about the job was waking up early only to be picked up 6 hours late.

Unprofessional, culture of lies and zero advancement.
Various Positions (Former Employee) - Head office - Bradford - 26 August 2019
Worked here for half a decade in various roles.
Absolute cesspit of lies, low wages and mental issues.
Mangement are clueless, especially the new lot that have achieved nothing but driving thier own share prices down.
Morale is always low with staff so to counter that the culture lends itself to mayhem.
A business that acts and behaves like a zoo.
Shouting, swearing and offensive jokes around every corner.
Every other staff member has some kind of mental issue, probably brought on by the work culture, with staff being undervalued and forced to endure the constant pantomines.
No security in the job with redundancies looming at any moment.
No chance of any meaningful progression at all.
Recognition of hard work In any form? Forget about it.
Do yourself a favour and stay well away from this circus.
Pros
The meyhem could be fun sometimes
Cons

A very happy 20 years at Safestyle...
Creative Marketing Manager (Current Employee) - Bradford, West Yorkshire - 20 August 2019
I work within the Marketing department at Safestyle and I have been part of this amazing company for 20 years. I joined the company after college and I have honestly never looked back, working my way up from a Marketing Assistant to Creative Marketing Manager. During my time at Safestyle i have worked alongside some very talented people and I have experienced so much, helping me to learn and progress my career.
I am proud to be part of a successful, market leading company and knowing that the work I do contributes to this. Safestyle is like one big family, it’s a great place to work and if you are willing to put in the effort – you can really go places!

Invasive, aggressive culture and abundance of lies
Finance Officer (Current Employee) - Wednesbury, West Midlands - 15 February 2019
I have worked here for now around two years and I would NOT recommend working here or have anything to do with this company what so ever.
They practice an out dated culture of objectivity to women, and well their HR department? Their less than helpful to resolve matters to ensure your safety.
This company will lie, overwork and under pay you.
Awful, awful, awful.
If you value your dignity do not work here, your soul will be destroyed in a matter of days.
Pros
You can smoke when ever you like
Cons
Everything.
