Strange local nanagenent practuces?
Representative (Former Employee) - North Wales - 15 September 2021
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedDidn't think the branch understood the logistics of North Wakes. Weren't really interested in where you we're expected to get to in time range. Management attitude rip the boxes out of the price to get the sale or I,m sending someone else back next time!
Pros
Mot much to say, as didn"t feel part of a team.
Cons
Money nowhere near what pitched at interview.

Lack of communication
Venue Sales Generator (Former Employee) - Plymouth, Devon - 15 November 2022
Just a quick heads up about people going straight from unemployed to working for Safestyle. You have to pay for your fuel for a whole month which is quite a chunk of cash. Plus the fuel to Wolverhampton to do your initial training. This is reimbursed on the 17th of the month. So if you start on or after this date it's a long time. You will require at least £600 to cover your fuel costs alone. This is not highlighted during the interview process or at training. Never thought I'd be standing in a supermarket entrance trying to flag people down either. This is a soul destroying approach to Sales unless you are thick skinned or don't mind this kind of work.

Insights into Safestyle UK
Areas for improvement
- Sense of belonging
- Energising work tasks
- Trust in colleagues
Nice people to work for, but feel I've been misled.
Foot Canvasser (Current Employee) - Norfolk - 20 October 2021
A day in the life of a Foot Canvasser I post leaflets to home owners.I can choose when I work, and working alone, is low risk during the pandemic It's daily exercise, out in the sunshine. It's far better than being in an office or shop with delegated shifts My manager is a nice guy. The job itself is fantastic, and my friends envy me. But there's things I wasn't told at the interviewI was told that it was weekly pay, one week in hand, guaranteed for the first seven weeks only NO LEAFLETS TO POST FOR 2/3 WEEKS AT TIME EQUALS NO EARNINGS!At the interview I was told that there is the opportunity to progress. IF I HAVEN'T GOT LEAFLETS FOR MYSELF, HOW IS THIS GOING TO WORK? This could have been a really good opportunity, and it is such a shame.
Pros
Choose your hours, exercise in the sunshine, nice people to work for
Cons
No leaflets, no earnings, and after the first seven weeks, it's commission only

Commission could be better
Senior Sales consultant (Current Employee) - Bristol - 2 August 2020
We used to get £150 a week basic when I joined safe style 17 years ago.its cut down to £ 130 a week and my fuel ,wear n tear has gone up 4 times.
I have no security ,no pension etc.
People who worked many years for the company should be given a choice to become permanent.
Also when I sell a job on list price, company should not take a share from it .21% plus rest should be given to a rep.

Fun environment
Surveyor Admin (Former Employee) - Bradford, West Yorkshire - 20 March 2020
Fun and comfortable environment, however gave no notice of when workers were to be dismissed. I was dismissed on the day.
Manager called me into office in morning at around 9.30 to inform me they are looking at removing people from the staff, starting with the newst, but was also told manager would fight for me and was reassured i would be okay. Came lunch time manager called me into office and told me that today was my last day. Funny part was i was told by 2 other managers before my own manager.
Would not recommend as very difficult to progress, current staff dont like new people unless you really get on their level which can be some really weird levels.
I was told by staff who has been there for 15-20 years to find another job instead of staying here only 1 month into the job and i was there for 9 months.

Terrible
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 8 March 2020
Was in barnsley for a week and then shadowing a sales rep. You dont get paid after 7 weeks and have to earn through commissions. All this about £2000+ per week is just an illusion....they changed my working hours to work from 10am-8pm and not 10-4 as agreed at the interview. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
Pros
nothing
Cons
bad in everyway

Poor
Canvasser (Former Employee) - Wolverhampton, West Midlands - 30 September 2019
In the interview didn’t get told what I was doing till I got there which was a course also the pay is really poor unless you get certain amount of leads which is only £40 a lead which you didn’t get unless a sales member goes to the customer door also expect you learn everything within a couple of day and staff was leaving every couple of days but would be good for for someone young where can learn the trade but if need money for anything not enough to be made

If you commit to the Company's training and work ethic. You can't go far wrong. But don't try and reinvent the wheel. Their system works. The pay structure is the most comprehensive in the industry. Earning potential unlimited.

4 September 2019Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you are one of the many who enjoy working at Safestyle.
Fantastic & Rewarding
Human Resource Advisor (Current Employee) - Bradford, West Yorkshire - 23 August 2019
I have worked for Safestyle for just under 2 years and have enjoyed every minute, it’s a completely different environment than my previous roles, however it’s fantastic for an individual who wants to progress and develop.
The management are supportive and they cannot give enough praise, the ‘old’ Safestyle is no more & within 2 years I have seen it develop into something great.
I cannot wait to see what the future holds for Safestyle!
If you’re looking for a challenge and fantastic development opportunities, Safestyle is the place to be!
