Making telephone calls to existing customers and potential new customers who expressed an interest in having their windows and/or doors replaced or, in some cases, upgrading their conservatory. Learned how to handle occasionally difficult customers, but most have them are OK. Branch management OK if you work hard and perform well, but a bit sulky if you don't get much business in. They are reasonably flexible with hours if you work minimum 6 hours per day, Mon-Fri, and 3 hours per weekend. Head office management poor at times and often find ways to take money off you - no basic wage for canvassers, as it is - commission only, so all your time and effort could result in you getting nothing and paying to go to work.
Reasonably flexible with hours if you work minimum 6 hours per day, Mon-Fri, and 3 hours per weekend. Free lunches occasionally.
No basic wage - commission only.
Job sounds amazing cause of the amount you "could" be making, but the reality is that you could be walking door to door disturbing everyone to sell a free quote, sounds simple but hard when is Cold.and rainy especially in England , going door to door, for 12 hours!! And if you've havent got a single free quote, then you wont get paid a single penny, this job is all to do with luck, 1 week you could make a good 200-400 but another it could be absolutely nothing! So you could be working for a whole week for FREEEEE
Worked for them for 6 month first 6 weeks got 100 and then it was commestion only door to door canvasser cold u worked in all weathers and u had to take the abuse I wouldn’t recommend to anyone it’s not worth it
Pick up and drop off to your door Monday to Saturday
Long hours and commestion
Safestyle literally has nothing to offer, not even a good advert anymore. I am not angry or bitter at them, I left the job I was not sacked. just thought i'd put that there before you assume its a bitter review haha. NO ONE NEEDS WINDOWS AND DOORS EVERYDAY so to offer workers only 1% commission on doors they are selling for £2-3,000+ is absolutely disgusting. They make you ring from these folders (which is fine, that is literally the job) but with these they expect you to: cross out and block anybody with an indian last name. they literally call it the NO PAKI POLICY because they believe people of such ethnicity want, and I quote, "everything for nothing" which I believe to be absolutely absurd for a company selling windows and doors at such ridiculous prices. when people ask for their numbers to be blocked, we had to highlight their name and copy their details into a NEW folder so that when we ran out of clients to ring we would literally just ring up and harass them again. we'd always give the people a complaints number but that number literally hasn't worked for years. resulting in LOTS of angry customers. 9-5 every single day for 1% commission.
There is little in the way of management or training. The quality of the leads varies hugely with only a handful of them being genuine customers looking to buy. The 'management' (used loosely) play a game of favourites providing the better leads to the reps that are currently in favour and sending the others on wild goose chases, if you complain about a lead being unsuitable you are guaranteed a week of minimum leads and leads of poor quality. Despite claiming to be trying to clean up the company image there is still a culture of the hard sell, often to vulnerable people, and managment offering heavy discounts to entice them to buy at the expense of any commission for the rep.

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?
Management only interested in making money for themselves and constantly chopping of commission. So many changes the guys at the top doesn't seem to know what they doing for last 3 years. Have gone completely unprofessional. Treat staff and CUSTOMERS like trash.
Without a doubt this is the worst place I have ever worked. As others have said on here all the managers are manipulators and will say anything to keep you there. It is advertised as a driving job but its cold calling. The advert says 400-800 per week but you will be lucky to get £200. All you do is make others richer Question everything and trust no-one. Stay away from this company!!
This is a good job for someone who has the time to do something on the side. Money wise, it is not worth it. Promise you something and give you something else. Don’t even get paid hourly, it’s if you manage to book an appointment (make loads of calls a day and get one lucky one which you’ll get paid for) then you’re making money. Staff/ management were great though! Always helpful!
Whilst I believe the job was okay the pay was awful and was met with a zero hour contract. The management was a little all over the place but they would at least inform you of the deals they had, which you would deliver to the customer and would personally treat yourselves very well
The company has very poor management. Sales reps don't last there because they rip off reps and customers. You have to be conman to work for this company, nobody honest can last working for safestyle windows

We are very sorry that you appear to have had a poor experience that is not representative of working with Safestyle. Many of our Sales Representatives contract with us for long periods of time and/or take breaks and return to us because they enjoy the work and the rewards that it can bring. These Sales Representatives are honest people, earning an honest living, treating our customers fairly. Worked here for half a decade in various roles. Absolute cesspit of lies, low wages and mental issues. Mangement are clueless, especially the new lot that have achieved nothing but driving thier own share prices down. Morale is always low with staff so to counter that the culture lends itself to mayhem. A business that acts and behaves like a zoo. Shouting, swearing and offensive jokes around every corner. Every other staff member has some kind of mental issue, probably brought on by the work culture, with staff being undervalued and forced to endure the constant pantomines. No security in the job with redundancies looming at any moment. No chance of any meaningful progression at all. Recognition of hard work In any form? Forget about it. Do yourself a favour and stay well away from this circus.
