Awful place to work
Survey Quality Control Inspector (Former Employee) - Bradford - 16 February 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAwful place to work . Management are purely target driven and dont care about employees at all. Even when my mum passed away all they could do was give me grief about targets not been met

Poor experience.
Sirveyor (Former Employee) - South west - 19 October 2023
Worked here for 5 years as a surveyor. The survey admin team at HO were nice people, but the company ethos from middle management up was appalling. I have been in the industry for 40 years and worked for many national companies and the management team here are by far the worst I have experienced. Egotistical , pass the buck, cover there own back side fools.

Cons
Poorly managed no support, poor pay.

Worst place to work.
Door Canvasser (Former Employee) - Bristol - 13 August 2023
Working for Safe Style UK, and I must say it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I was greeted by an atmosphere of disarray and disregard for employees' well-being.One of the most glaring issues was the management's complete lack of communication and transparency. Important decisions seemed to be made behind closed doors, leaving employees in the dark about changes that directly affected their roles and responsibilities. This led to confusion, frustration, and ultimately a toxic work environment where no one knew where they stood. The work-life balance at Safe Style UK was nothing short of non-existent. The company's constant push for unrealistic sales targets resulted in relentless pressure on the sales team. Long working hours were the norm, and even weekends were not off-limits. This blatant disregard for employees' personal lives and well-being was truly disheartening. Additionally, the company's treatment of its employees was shocking. The management displayed a complete lack of respect for their staff, often speaking down to them and belittling their efforts. There was no recognition for hard work or dedication, and any attempts to voice concerns were met with dismissive attitudes. The work environment itself was a reflection of the company's lack of care. Cramped and outdated office spaces, malfunctioning equipment, and a general lack of basic amenities made it clear that employee comfort was not a priority. It's as if the company saw its employees as expendable resources rather than valuable team members. To make matters -

Workplace
Field Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - Romford - 2 November 2022
Very poor place to work leads are given to staff via cherry picking instead of the rep who lives closet to the lead. Would never recommend anyone to work here. The pay structure is an absolute joke aswell. STAY CLEAR

Terrible company
Canvasser (Former Employee) - Preston, Lancashire - 14 January 2022

Don’t do it
Sales rep (Current Employee) - Midlands - 6 January 2022
It’s commission based , due to high prices you have to discount to a level where there is very little or no commission, and management don’t care and if you ask for help you’ll be ignored, managers have a written target and as long as they get it they get paid, so it doesn’t matter about discount

Cons

A little cliquey
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Plymouth, Devon - 17 December 2021
A lot of waiting for a lead call. Good training with visits to HO and manufacturing plant.Local management was a bit cliquey and immature. The hardest part of the job was being ordered to apply hard-sell tactics in inappropriate scenarios. The best parts were self-employment, variety, good earnings.
Pros
Good earnings. One-to-one with the public. Reasonably local area.
Cons
Too much waiting by the phone for a lead call, leads not always of good quality so some wasted travel at your own expense.

Didn't think the branch understood the logistics of North Wakes. Weren't really interested in where you we're expected to get to in time range. Management attitude rip the boxes out of the price to get the sale or I,m sending someone else back next time!
Pros
Mot much to say, as didn"t feel part of a team.
Cons
Money nowhere near what pitched at interview.

Overworked, underpaid, full of lies, zero diversity
Manager (Former Employee) - South East - 10 August 2021
When I first started 4 years ago the company was great it is now just take take take from the new management. If you are a person of colour you have little to no chance of progression. They look for every excuse not to pay bonuses. Pay structure can change weekly. They look to rip off their customers and have no respect for their staff. Avoid Safestyle at all costs!!!!
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, unreliable pay, racism, homophobia and sexism are rife within the company

Things are lapse
Health & Safety Inspector (Former Employee) - Bradford, West Yorkshire - 9 July 2021
Not good you are pushed to rush and at times told to turn a blind eye to certain things to just let them finish a job. The managers bend all the rules and take playbacks for decent jobs to be given to fitters

Your wage is just as much dependent on someone else's ability to do their job as it is to do yours.
Telesales Agent (Former Employee) - Preston - 9 April 2021
Making telephone calls to existing customers and potential new customers who expressed an interest in having their windows and/or doors replaced or, in some cases, upgrading their conservatory. Learned how to handle occasionally difficult customers, but most have them are OK. Branch management OK if you work hard and perform well, but a bit sulky if you don't get much business in. They are reasonably flexible with hours if you work minimum 6 hours per day, Mon-Fri, and 3 hours per weekend. Head office management poor at times and often find ways to take money off you - no basic wage for canvassers, as it is - commission only, so all your time and effort could result in you getting nothing and paying to go to work.
Pros
Reasonably flexible with hours if you work minimum 6 hours per day, Mon-Fri, and 3 hours per weekend. Free lunches occasionally.
Cons
No basic wage - commission only.

Worst job ever
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Gillingham - 31 March 2021
Job sounds amazing cause of the amount you "could" be making, but the reality is that you could be walking door to door disturbing everyone to sell a free quote, sounds simple but hard when is Cold.and rainy especially in England , going door to door, for 12 hours!! And if you've havent got a single free quote, then you wont get paid a single penny, this job is all to do with luck, 1 week you could make a good 200-400 but another it could be absolutely nothing! So you could be working for a whole week for FREEEEE

It’s sales
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - North East - 3 July 2020
It’s commission only, if you can sell, don’t bend with pressure and are prepared to work odd hours there’s money to be made. You’re on your own a lot which is good as not micro managed. Good training.
Pros
Money
Cons
If you get a bad manager

So racist
Telesales (Former Employee) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire - 7 March 2020
Safestyle literally has nothing to offer, not even a good advert anymore. I am not angry or bitter at them, I left the job I was not sacked. just thought i'd put that there before you assume its a bitter review haha.
NO ONE NEEDS WINDOWS AND DOORS EVERYDAY so to offer workers only 1% commission on doors they are selling for £2-3,000+ is absolutely disgusting. They make you ring from these folders (which is fine, that is literally the job) but with these they expect you to: cross out and block anybody with an indian last name. they literally call it the NO PAKI POLICY because they believe people of such ethnicity want, and I quote, "everything for nothing" which I believe to be absolutely absurd for a company selling windows and doors at such ridiculous prices.
when people ask for their numbers to be blocked, we had to highlight their name and copy their details into a NEW folder so that when we ran out of clients to ring we would literally just ring up and harass them again. we'd always give the people a complaints number but that number literally hasn't worked for years. resulting in LOTS of angry customers.
9-5 every single day for 1% commission.
