Your wage is just as much dependent on someone else's ability to do their job as it is to do yours.
Telesales Agent (Former Employee) - Preston - 9 April 2021
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedMaking telephone calls to existing customers and potential new customers who expressed an interest in having their windows and/or doors replaced or, in some cases, upgrading their conservatory. Learned how to handle occasionally difficult customers, but most have them are OK. Branch management OK if you work hard and perform well, but a bit sulky if you don't get much business in. They are reasonably flexible with hours if you work minimum 6 hours per day, Mon-Fri, and 3 hours per weekend. Head office management poor at times and often find ways to take money off you - no basic wage for canvassers, as it is - commission only, so all your time and effort could result in you getting nothing and paying to go to work.
Pros
Reasonably flexible with hours if you work minimum 6 hours per day, Mon-Fri, and 3 hours per weekend. Free lunches occasionally.
Cons
No basic wage - commission only.

Good training poor as soon as as joined Brighton area
Sales representative (Former Employee) - Brighton - 14 September 2023
Ring in at 9am to say your available wait all day for a call to give you a survey in 1/2 hour but only 20 mins before when you get it or wait all day can call you to do surveys at 8pm waiting all day if you get any. Was told would get 2 to 3 minimum per day lucky to get 1 before I left got 1 on Mon /0 on Tues /2 on weds /0 on thur then left waiting about 40 hours for leads over 4 days training excellent thought would be a great company to work for (false promises) wouldn't be able to make £400 to £500 per week paying for your own vehicle and petrol. Didn't get paid for the 2 days I worked or comps. Expect me to drop samples and tablet back at a cost to me
Pros
None
Cons
Hours, leads, money and waiting

Worst place to work.
Door Canvasser (Former Employee) - Bristol - 13 August 2023
Working for Safe Style UK, and I must say it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I was greeted by an atmosphere of disarray and disregard for employees' well-being. One of the most glaring issues was the management's complete lack of communication and transparency. Important decisions seemed to be made behind closed doors, leaving employees in the dark about changes that directly affected their roles and responsibilities. This led to confusion, frustration, and ultimately a toxic work environment where no one knew where they stood. The work-life balance at Safe Style UK was nothing short of non-existent. The company's constant push for unrealistic sales targets resulted in relentless pressure on the sales team. Long working hours were the norm, and even weekends were not off-limits. This blatant disregard for employees' personal lives and well-being was truly disheartening. Additionally, the company's treatment of its employees was shocking. The management displayed a complete lack of respect for their staff, often speaking down to them and belittling their efforts. There was no recognition for hard work or dedication, and any attempts to voice concerns were met with dismissive attitudes. The work environment itself was a reflection of the company's lack of care. Cramped and outdated office spaces, malfunctioning equipment, and a general lack of basic amenities made it clear that employee comfort was not a priority. It's as if the company saw its employees as expendable resources rather than valuable team members. To make matters -

Overworked, underpaid, full of lies, zero diversity
Manager (Former Employee) - South East - 10 August 2021
When I first started 4 years ago the company was great it is now just take take take from the new management. If you are a person of colour you have little to no chance of progression. They look for every excuse not to pay bonuses. Pay structure can change weekly. They look to rip off their customers and have no respect for their staff. Avoid Safestyle at all costs!!!!
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, unreliable pay, racism, homophobia and sexism are rife within the company

Worst job ever
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Gillingham - 31 March 2021
Job sounds amazing cause of the amount you "could" be making, but the reality is that you could be walking door to door disturbing everyone to sell a free quote, sounds simple but hard when is Cold.and rainy especially in England , going door to door, for 12 hours!! And if you've havent got a single free quote, then you wont get paid a single penny, this job is all to do with luck, 1 week you could make a good 200-400 but another it could be absolutely nothing! So you could be working for a whole week for FREEEEE

Like selling B to C
Sales Rep (Former Employee) - Luton, Bedfordshire - 6 April 2020
You need to be a able to work on your own all the time, and love driving. It can be a ruthless environnment sometimes, you need to have a very strong personality to do this job, someone who doesn't take no for an answer.
A typical day is, you get a call to sell windows or doors to a customer anywhere in a 3 county area depending on where you live, If you get a great manager you could get upto 3 jobs a day (if you perfrom well) This job can be very lucrative if you sell....

High pressured but rewarding
Canvassing Team Manager (Former Employee) - Bristol - 11 February 2020
You have to maintain a positive attitude at all times. And help the team turn their negativity to positivity. It can be very hard mentally and physically. If your not getting any leads for several hours if knocking doors. The rejection can be tough. Even worse so when it's raining. On the other hand, you can feel on top of the world within half an hour after getting several leads.

Anti Social
Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Nottingham - 5 January 2020
Every day you're expected to be up and ready to go by 8:30 but could be sitting waiting for an appointment until 4pm. On average you only get 1 hours notice of appointments meaning you cannot plan your day. Although being a self employed position it is flexible working but personally doesn't work for me. Commision based only so wages flex highly.
