Oxygen Technician in Great Notley and Braintree West
on 5 March 2022
Friendly place to work.
Clean bright environment. Shown how to carry tasks by colleagues. Very specific work and everything you do has to be checked as it is safety critical equipment for aircraft.
Manufacturing Operative in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire

Good rates of pay & plenty of overtime. Mickey Mouse wears a Safran watch.
Had to provide my own PPE, borrow tools from other workers as tools weren't supplied, spent most of shift pretending to be busy, very little training was provided, work plan illustrations were out of date, constantly having to wait to ask experienced workers how to do the job in hand.Although each phase of the construction of these very expensive seats/pods had a quality assessment prior to moving onto the next line, there were so many errors/poor workmanship. The recruiter advised me that the job contract would be a minimum of 6 months but just after 3 weeks I was laid off, as were others, due to there not being enough work, On one occasion we prepared the line to work on about ten seats and were told that all the required spare parts would be ready for us on the following day shift. When we arrived for our next shift we were unable to assembly the seats because all the required spares parts had yet to be ordered. Spent the shift looking busy while having nothing to do until the spares arrived.
Quality Controller in Burnley, Lancashire
on 23 February 2022
Contractors classed as second class workers and dismissed at the drop of a hat
Was on a contract as a quality controller, safran were incredibly slow in proving me the pc I needed to do my job, it took them 6 weeks and then the software I needed to do my job was not installed.I spent 2 months watching someone else doing the job I was employed to do in very cold conditions. My manager at interview informed me that I would be looked after but left me up the creak without a paddle.Ended up with me being so frustrated that I had a panic attack whilst at work, i went home sick and after a day off I was informed my contract had been cancelled and I was out of a job.I am 56 and have experience in aerospace since starting my apprenticeship at 16.Never been sacked before and disgusted by my treatment at Safran.
MECHANICAL OPERATOR in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire
on 17 January 2022
Good work colleagues
To much to mention, stay clear, not supportive of agencies, they say its team, but only team leaders reap the benefits of the hard work, gri going workers to bone pulling 24hr shifts for brownie points
Employee in Gloucestershire

Poor managment not very understanding of employee problems
If your face fits you will be fine besides that it's basically shut up and do as your told or leave, found managers being two faced all the time and they defend each other
