Because they dont deserve a higher wage when they sit around and do nothing for the other staff members or more so their shop there looking after. I think that wage is even too high for most managers.
They do not have assistant managers in most of their store nor have supervisors. They just ecpect sales associstes to do them roles and not get paid for it.
