Sanctuary Care
Sanctuary Care Employee Review
Awful
Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Somerset - 10 June 2022
The home is presented beautifully and in all honesty the staff on the floor are the only other saving grace along with the residents. Management provide litte if any support and often dont listen to staff concerns l, at best they are "noted" and nothing more done and at worst staff are openly belittled or shouted at. Most shifts are understaffed with a high agency intake with permanent staff being asked to pull the extra weight for agency staff downfalls often meaning your workload is that of 2-3 people. Staff morale is low and whilst we are constantly encouraged to enrich lives as the residents deserve we can just about provide basic care while often working through unpaid breaks. Wonderfully presented home with amazing residents and floor staff will make you very welcome but let down by low staff levels, lack of support and the feeling that money is the only factor Sanctuary cares about

Challenging workplace that isn't what it's described
Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Stoke-on-Trent - 5 August 2022
The job is great if you are prepared for what you're walking into. I signed up to be a support assistant helping people develop skills and moving back into the community. Reality is none of that, you're working with people who can't eat meals without support, need toileting consistently. If that's the job you want then great! Just make sure they don't trap you into it via misleading job titles.
