Great people, terrible pay and upper management
The staff at the Science Museum and SMG more broadly are amazing. Thoughtful, helpful, passionate and professional. In Collections, the workplace culture is quite good, with lots of challenging new projects to work on and varied work flow. It can be hectic at times, but this isn't unexpected for the industry. My experience working here was mixed
Pay is low and work can get repetitive.The best part of the job is the colleagues and working with the public as part of exhibitions and events.Numerous learning opportunities.Unsupportive management. Restructures affect teams every few years.

Amazing experience
The Science Museum is a very good place to work, grow, learn. It is a shame that the employees don't enjoy and do nothing but whining, complaining, & moaning all day.
