Management, give themselves and their girlfriends early shifts every Thursday and Friday
Management likes to play 'Rota Roulette' by constantly changing rotas, often up to 50 times a week. Also if they want to screw you over, they'll leave you off the rota for when you've been signed off by the doctor, then tell you that you're down to a Sunday Shift they already know you can't do due to public transport limitations, with less than 24 hours notice.
Highly unlikely. You work within your store opening times as needed by the company. Rota's are subject to endless, last minute changes and you are expected to keep on top of your own working hours. You will rarely be asked if changes work with your life outside of work, you ar ejust expected to do them.
They are flexibke to your needs
Rotas are ill designed, subject to change and often the subject of stress and last minute changes. usually little room for change due to lack of staff.
No, rota are terrible
Working hours are as early as 6:45 and as late as 20:15. Each member of staff is given a weekly rota that is carefully made primarily by the Duty Manager. The rotas for the next 4 weeks are on show in the office, but are subject to change slightly (with the employee's acknowledgement). No rota is permanent as the shifts can vary, but management will generously base your shifts around college/uni, etc. As a service assistant, I have had shifts ranging from 3hrs 45min to 8 hours, it will depend on if you are still in education, how many hours you are contracted to and what position you are (assistant manager, service assistant, etc.) If you are over 18 you can legally work a 12 hour day but this doesn't happen as far as I'm aware.
