Wouldn't bother

Easily the worst company I've ever worked for. Constant circular emails re office hours and contact but "the office" deem it ok to message/phone you in the middle of the night requesting a shift swaps/cover shifts etc..Constantly having to chase up correct shift pattern which hadn't/hasn't changed in years. Used to be done automatically in the background but for some reason "the office" decided to give themselves more work and do it manually and often wrong.Constantly having to chase up correct working hoursCompany would deduct £ for a 2 mins silenceConstantly attempting to move site based operatives in order to suit their terrible planning of casuals/reliefConstant circular emails re Focus Topics and training that (A)Isn't required as part of SIA licencing (B)Has little to do with any sites operated on

Pros

After chasing up with UK HR, the company paid me my remaining holiday entitlement to the penny after I left.

Cons

Everything, go work in a supermarket.

Just another company

Always got paid on time, some managers have some issue. You just realise you are another number to them. I moved on after few years. Some sites are good, some are bad. It all depends on luck and connections if you have. Paid the bills.

Management that takes time to speak to you and actually have a care for your home life and not just work. Job is easy enough and was given plenty of training. Members of staff are great to work with. Only negative is that the pay could be better

Bunch of terrible amateurs

Bunch of terrible incompetent amateurs, presenting themselves like Super Professionals, obviously they living on other planet Communications with managers is extremely painful experience, Don’t waste your energy and time with this company, if you don’t want to feel very disappointed

Avoid St Ives

Site and customer were fine but Securitas have now lost this contract after poor management. Securitas went through 16 staff in 3 years of having the site and never had a full security team 6 days plus a week with barely a day off. Just be aware that securitas lost all their contracts in Cornwall on some really good sires as well their management is shambles.

Productive place to work

Worked for securitas for coming up 16 years. Never had any problems, pay correct 99% of the time, no real issues, only thing I'd say is managers don't seem tomlast long, had probably as many as years I've worked for them

misserable people

This job is going to drain the last bit of your happiness , there is a big variety of staff with different mental issues and unable to do even the most simple tasksmanagement will treat you like an object and whatever you suggesting they will do the opposite Apply if you got no life and low IQ and of course if you want to do stupid hours at unsociable hours

Positive experience

To be fair, securitas are a fine company to work for. Good employee benefits, upper management is friendly and fair. On the flip side some of the site supervisors you will be working with in person can be challenging to deal with.
