To be fair, securitas are a fine company to work for. Good employee benefits, upper management is friendly and fair. On the flip side some of the site supervisors you will be working with in person can be challenging to deal with.

This job is going to drain the last bit of your happiness , there is a big variety of staff with different mental issues and unable to do even the most simple tasksmanagement will treat you like an object and whatever you suggesting they will do the opposite Apply if you got no life and low IQ and of course if you want to do stupid hours at unsociable hours

What is the best part of working at the company?All negative, toxic enviroment, Manager plays favourites with friends. Nothing can be done because Manager is friends with area manager What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Constantly shouting manager for no reason.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Extremely toxic enviroment. Shame What is a typical day like for you at the company?Way to much driving involved. Don't think it's legal.

Many roles and experiences within the security industry are the same yet within different client working environments.Securitas holds a very diverse portfolio within office, industrial and retail giving individual and extensive training with opportunities to progress.Although the security work-life balance is disproportionate the remuneration is currently the best in the industry.

I Liked the company very much, in so far as , i did develop a rapport with the staff members, especially with the msanagers!! With my experiences in security & customer services, i.e liaising with customers, staff members & contractors, Not only doing my jobs, but also, gave a constant Motivation in carrying on the job!!"In so far as the perks of the company, i didn't mind , if i was missing out in something, that should have been due to me , probably , i would have reminded to them in a later date !! I was most intertested in the work ,Cared for its performsance, when you know , you have been watched over ny your bosses !!

I've had the misfortune working for Securitas on two separate occasions now, a gap of 10 years between The first contract they lost and failed to pay all guards on site their final wages, luckily the site manager refused to pay their invoice until we were paid and they couldn't help quick enough.At the beginning management was strong, helpful and useful.Sadly with each new manager the company and its management teams became worse and worse.10 years later I was employed by Securitas again and I'm sad to see that little has changed and the managers are the weakest I've seen within any company I've worked for.Nepotism is rife within this company at all levels and they choose to promote people they can use as puppets instead of those that are actually worthy and want to do the job. (I'm guessing this is why staff at management level are so poor)The company as a whole is one of the biggest in the industry, and from the outside they surely appear to be so with company apps and their online training system.

Challenging tasks with a good team

I worked there for just below a year, I wouldnt have left if it werent for full time uni studies. Good management and team with lots to give.Very supportive and made sure you knew what to do. Management answered the phone to help you through a task whenever you called.

Alot is common sense. Great place to work at times , home officers are lovely. shifts can be so boring as you are sat down most of the time doing nothing. Patrolling each 1h - 1hr 30. Work independently, don’t work as a team. No one to talk to unless you know a different language. Overall company is amazing, management is exceptional. Pay rate can be better.

Don't work for these neanderthals

Rubbish pay, no communication and treated subcontractors as better than their own. Tried to make it difficult to return uniform and somehow tried to blame me for leaving with no notice. Newsflash, if you wasn't so bad then people wouldn't leave with no notice. The uniform was bonkers too, downton abbey gone wrong, smurfs on acid.

Misinformation

So management are great, I had an interview which went well, pay was £11 p/h which is decent. Location of work looked amazing but on the job advertisement doesn’t state the hours.Which is 5am to 1pm first week. Then second week is 1pm to 9pm. Which is okay for people who don’t need much money to support family.Unfortunately in these current time has to be minimum 48/60 hours a week, anything lower than that, is not manageable. After tax and all that working only 40hours aweek, will struggle to pay rent and bills but good for maybe youngsters who have no commitments.Management were lovely though, but that won’t feed our belly’s.
