Horror show of a company when I worked there. Store Manager didn’t know what he was doing and was only using they place to get another managers job near to home . Don’t care about staff and anyways has something to moan about once a task is complete.
Pros

The job its self was actually open and the staff are very friendly but the management was just all wrong and they didn't really care about you as a person. Other then that its was a job you could just turn up and do and then go home. Not really stressful.
Pros
Friendly colleagues
Cons
Bad management

Working nights at Selco was the best job I’ve actually had. I like the people I was working with and the other staff I’ve met that does days, If I could work there again I’d do so within a HEARTBEAT. Just a shame the manager I had did hire me after 8 mouths but chose someone else that took credit for my hard work
Pros
No I worked nights
Cons
9 hour shifts

It was most stressful company. I ever work for. Management stress you out specially if they don’t like you. Management don’t care about you they care for themselves. No matter how good you are they don’t see it. Don’t work there save your life. If you want a job you can work and be happy not here. You will be dressed Everyday and is not job stressing you is management and some bad colleagues too. You will be sad every day. Run
Pros
Bad company to work for

Awful and incompetent management who don't appreciate hard working employees. No career progression and a lot of hard work for basic pay. I regret ever working for this company and the bunch of clowns who are useless as managers.

At introduction you are given the perception the company is a good company to work for with with strong core values for the company. After a few weeks the smoke screen lifts and realize it's mainly bull and they don't follow their "7 core values". Within my first year lots of people left due to being unhappy in their role. You "multi task" jobs and take on work loads while others relax and expect you to do their jobs once you have the experience in other areas. Van drivers are always quitting to the amount of heavy lifting on their own and low pay. Sometimes you finish at 8.15pm and back in at 6am. Shifts get changed last min without you being informed. After 3 years i had less confidence than when i started. Managers keep changing and the some don't know what they are doing half of thr time
Pros
40 hours a week /split shifts/ weekend work/ Health scheme
Cons
Poor management, staff always leaving, same pay as new staff after 3 years. Appraisal FAIL'S to happen. No bonus or shift allowance.

Pros
occasional Christmas bonus
Cons
long hours, physically demanding, cover other peoples role, close to minimum wage pay

Terrible company to work for managers don’t Care about their staff all they care about is £££ they would rather upset staff and not defend them against disgusting rude customers. Managers have a click where they have their selective favourites and if you’re not part of that well may as well pack your stuff as your time will be terrible
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything

Slough store management is no good. If you are not in there clickey Circle you wont last long. Co works are great but no one wants to be there and are only there because it's a job. Most use it as a temp job till something better comes along.
Pros
Never really found one
Cons
Almsot everything

They take advantage and exploit the hardest workers to make up for the slack of the lazy ones, management are not helpful in the slightest and you'd be lucky to not be told to "f" off everytime you take an issue to management, always understaffed meaning you're constantly doing the work of 2, avoid if you want a place where you want to do your own job without politics and obvious favourites
Pros
The regulars
Cons
Management, always short staffed, terrible rota

Very stressful, especially when your boss don't have experience in his job and tells you how to do yours. Company stress a lot to stuff to do right thing, and yet company it self is not applying in to practice. Absolutely there is no company loyalty, hard to get more training. It could be a grate work place if they would understand that: "People make company, not Company make people"
