Sales/Lingerie Stockroom Assistant (Former Employee) - Women's Designer Room - 4 January 2023

I worked at the flagship store in Birmingham, which immediately got me a job in London. It's a good career move. I also went back to Selfridges a few years later and although nobody would provide me with references, they still gave me a job on the day of the interview because I had already worked for them.

Pros

Luxurious place to work in

Cons

Can be quiet and boring and they expect you to meet ridiculous targets when they have no customers, who can afford the stuff

Selfridges is a great company, the people that you work are great, but at its core there are many problems. Management can be unrealistic, you have to do stuff that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Great Place to work

Stockroom Assistant (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 6 December 2016

It was a great place to work. My coworkers were nice but could tell there have been drama. Some would wonder off and walk around the store when there was work to be done. The mangers were nice but were barely on the floor, so if you had a question about anything you'd have to chase after them. The discount was really great!! Probably the only thing that kept me there. Overall a fun place to work.
