Reviews for Bus Driver at Selwyns Travel
No rest but easy job
National Express Coach Driver (Current Employee) - Runcorn, Cheshire - 31 July 2023
If you like your weekend then highly don't recommend this job, coaches are decent but still have there issues. Drivers always willing to help and makes a nice change not having to worry about holiday blocks.

Not same anymore, changed.
Coach Driver (Former Employee) - Runcorn, Cheshire - 15 December 2022
Don't expect to have a social life if you want to work here because they can change your duties in a flash so if you've arranged something with the family after you've finished or special event the day after on your day off, then it buggers it all up & you fall foul of your family who has a go at you for working when you know it's not your fault. Very long days if you include travelling there & back home, then get a shower/bath, then have tea & before you know it, it's time for bed cos you're up in 6 hours to do it all over again. Suitable for someone who hasn't got a family or in a relationship, so you can work when you want without upsetting the family, kids or partner. Get a job on the local buses, it's more pay & you know exactly what time you'll finish & what days off you will get.
Pros
Good coaches to drive
Cons
Long hours, days etc. Being treated like dog c.r.a.p if you refuse to change your duty or work on day off.

Just give it a miss.
Coach Driver (Current Employee) - Liverpool - 28 December 2021
Not the worst place to work for, but management expects you to just drop your life to work all the time, Don’t expect favour off drivers to swap shifts or cover you, everyone is all for themselves, Just work your contracted hours and don’t do overtime an you’ll be fine.
Pros
Long hours mean good take home
Cons
No work life balance, all work no life.
