Amazing opportunity to earn

You are surrounded by supportive and successful individuals who just want you to maximise opportunities to earn more money. Brilliant job with loads of pathways.

Don't bother working here unless you have zero experience

They pay awfully and well below other firms which means that if you have no experience, it's great to use it to get onto the ladder so to speak... but you will leave after a year once you have the experience to go elsewhere, realise that the company do not value you or care about you, realise that they take the absolute mickey out of you and realise that they treat everybody differently in terms of working hours and pay. It is a sham. They will use you for what suits them and should you dare to try for a promotion, the targets will be unachievable and unfair. Just don't waste your time working here

Awful place to work

No support for their employees. Paid next to nothing for the workload and hours. When on leave you are forced to still answer calls and advise of information managers should already be aware of. Lower level colleagues are generally lovely to work with however managers and area managers are nasty pieces of work, I have even been as far as sworn at by an area manager to then be apologized to and made a joke of. Overall worst place I have ever worked.

Share your experience to help others

Wouldn't recommend working here if you would like any form of a live outside of work.

Unrealistic expectations in staff. Refusal to support staff (I only found one member of staff within the lettings team to be supportive and helpful throughout). Work/live balance is poor and management push for it to be increased. Salary in comparison to hours is poor also. The expectation of working extremely hard and meeting impossible goals in order to earn any form of substantial commission causes alot of pressure due to this commission being needed just to earn a monthly wage which is livable.

Pros

The sales teams are usaully lovely and welcoming, (I worked in lettings only) and provide a supportive environment within your allocated workspace.

Waste of Time and Money

People in the office were amazing! They were so welcoming and helped me as soon as I walked through the door. However, the business as a whole is shocking! The wage is awful for what you have to do there. The business times your phone calls and see how many you make in a day and they even listen to them. They make you pay for your fuel and give barely any money back for the fuel that YOU have spent. They treat staff like numbers. They also boast on company emails on how much they have made as a business and employees see none of it. They also say how big they are but the employee benefits minimal and even the pension scheme they have isn't competitive at all.

Pros

People in the office

Cons

Long hours Pay Management

Over worked and underpaid

The wage is terrible, far below and actual living wage. Sleazy estate agent culture. Would not recommend working there to anyone. You work longer than your contracted hours just to get the work done as they are generally understaffed

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Overworked and underpaid

Not a nice place to work

No wonder why people come and go in this place.. Worse place to work for.. if your face don’t fit don’t bother, not a nice place to work at.. staff ain’t friendly.. get moaned at the way you sit, a lot of down time, possibly the work at, always being looked down on

Pros

Driving about

Cons

No parking, poor management, poor training, no help whatsoever

Underpaid and Overworked

The staff turnaround in my area in the 3 years I worked for the company was obscene. Branch Managers, negotiators and countless mortgage advisors were constantly leaving and being replaced. You would think this would ring alarm bells to the management. The attitude of the management of we need more figures but gave you no idea of actually how to get more was laughable. Gave me none of the tools needed to take the office forward even though I asked specifically what was needed. The pay is ridiculously low for the amount of work you do and unless in your in certain branches you will struggle with this.

Overall brilliant

So, I worked for them for a year and the people in my office and manager, I can not fault!! We were a little family I felt and it was brilliant!! However, out of the office management etc were terrible! I felt very unsupported by them with regards to my mental health and other issues. They didn’t care about you as a person, only what you could do for them and how much work and money you could do and bring in to the company.

Pros

Hour lunches, good support from the people in the office, good wage

Cons

Long hours, no support from the higher management, very sales and target driven

Stressful, long hours, competitive

I left this job with depression and severe stress causing me to feel physically sick and emotionally drained everyday. Very poor communication within the offices, and an immense pressure to hit your targets, leaving you feeling inadequate and degraded if not achieved even when not in your control. No lunch break ever given, seems frowned upon if you do take a lunch break. High staff turnover- always hiring as staff leave due to poor employee treatment. Poor ethics too, they also seem very happy to bend rules for their favourite members of staff or customers they know personally. Also a lot of scandalous acts within the company, shockingly with the higher members of staff. Pros: can’t think of any. Cons: too many to count but you probably will gather from the above. Good luck if you get a job here.

Pros

Often meeting nice clients or other office employees

Cons

No lunch break, long hours, poor pay, sexist

Wouldn't recommend

Low pay Bonus scheme a joke Salary they advertise is not achievableTargets they set are not achievableYou work 6 days every other week Expect you to start 30 minutes earlier everyday and not get paid for itThe extra saturday you work every other week you don't get paid any extra for.High turnover of staff I got the experience I needed then left

Pros

none

Cons

Pay, 6 day week, bonus not acheivable

Long hours, very poor basic pay, pressured workload

Make a lot of false promises, no pay review, no bonus, targets are high and if you fail to hit them then you will feel under immense pressure from management Pros - you get to see a lot of different houses which is interesting Sometimes meet some nice people and it is satisfying to make the let / sale Promotion is available but you need to be one of the favorites Cons - Very long hours, very poor basic pay, yes you get commissions but these do not make up a decent wage, you just get told to sell / let more houses if you want more money Mileage allowance is an absolute joke, they do not tell you that you can claim back difference from the government although this is not straightforward to do Targets are very high and there is a lot of pressure to hit them Constant rejection from prospective clients Had 3 different managers within 1 year, that should tell you all you need to know Cold calling is part of the job - bit outdated approach in my opinion I now earn more money for less hours and a lot less stress, whole industry is the same am afraid so unless you want to work 42-48 hrs plus for very average money would seek elsewhere

Pros

Expenses paid although way under gov guidelines

Cons

Long hours, very target based, cold calling

Unbelievably Stressful

The company itself is horrendous to work for. Zero benefits and they expect you to fit a weeks worth of work into every day. Training is poor throughout every job role. Management is a joke.

Awful company

I can’t put into words how I feel about them. It’s more like a scream. There is no support to new starters other than a quick car ride around a brand new area at bolt neck speed with information flying at you faster than the coked up area manager is talking.

Poor

The whole company as a whole is very poor to work for. Low basic salary you have to use your own car which they pay you £50 a month and you be using your car more then that and you have to pay out of your own pocket. (They say they give you a company car but they don’t) high turn over off staff long hours. Not rewarded for hitting targets. Really bad poor management not a lot of training.

Pros

Meeting new people

Cons

Pay, long hours, not rewarding

Would 100% return!

Management in office can sometimes be a bit all over the place which needed everyone to step up (not necessarily a bad thing) Since leaving to take a career break, I regularly look to see what vacancies are available and would 100% return if given the opportunity. As estate agents go, it’s one of the better ones to go for!

Do not work for sequence

Overworked and underpaid, really poor management..appointments would be stollen from you so that you wouldn’t get paid commission and others would...this place of work talked the talk but never walked the walk, which is just how you are taught to treat the customers!! Some good people but they are all tied down to this big corporate company rubbish where employees and customers simply do not matter

Decent enough

Competitive sales environment. Can either chew you up and spit you out, or give you the foundations for success. Training and support given - up to you how much you get from it

Worst management

I definitely wouldn’t recommend this company if you have a family or children. No compassion for time off with children or any reason at all. Salary is absolutely ridiculous for the amount of work you have to do and the stuff you have to deal with. Management is shocking, thrive for gossip and drama and then act professional when it suits and throw you under the bus when they’re in the wrong. Very high turn over of staff!
