  • Try and hold onto good people managers. Do not tolerate front staff being threatened with their job. Monitor grievances they can tell you a lot. Challenge blame culture

  • If i win the lottery , get a better job. I enjoyed the previous contracts . The one i am currently on is very stressful. :(

  • Serco are vile, through and through. The answer is don’t take a job with them, they management, if you can call them that are an absolute joke, they treat people like slaves, they also expect you to conform to their way of thinking, trust me if you don’t want to become a stepford wife, don’t join, this bunch if nepotistic charlatans, avoid them at all costs....

  • If you’re offered outside by management don’t go because it will be a setup with a few waiting for you with knuckle dusters

  • Looking to leave serco right now worked there for over 6 years and still stuck in a dead end job with one pay rise in 6 years , mangerment treat you like a slave and I deserve better.
They don't apiciate you and the work you do either .

  • Avoid serco at all costs.pxxs up and a brewery is all I can say.

  • I was Employed at the Defence Academy
    In Wiltshire.

On first impressions it looked a really good setup but one has to wonder why the previous post holder was leaving such an apparently good job.

After the first week or so the reason became clear.

The people I had to manage had an appalling attitude and basically would only do what they wanted when they wanted.

Another few people which were “seconded” to my Department could not have been more helpful - but they were already committed to there own workload so additional work for them on a regular basis would have been unfair.

Therefore as the buck stops here, I had to leave due to lower grade staff (one who had been in post for years) refusing to cooperate.

  • If I win the lottery

  • 2 managers pushed my head into a bowl of cold rice pudding at lunchtime because I was grinning at them.

  • The managers are poor, I’ve never felt so publicly victimised by an adult. I’m 17 years of age and it was just absolutely disgusting the way they treat their staff!
They had no care in the world that I’m still in education, they would call me around 12 asking me to come into work when I’m quite clearly still in college.
