Good place to work if the managers like you, other than that, it can be very difficult to get shifts or work, especially if you miss a shift, they hold it against you personally, regardless the reason

Get a foot into the events industry

The job is perfect if you have no experience, but a willing attitude to work hard. It's also great for beginning a career in events. With enough experience, you could pursue a career in production, lighting, sound, staging, rigging etc. The shifts can be long and unsociable at times though. The crew coordinators in the office will call you to offer you shifts, which you can decline. Those who take as many shifts as possible are the ones treated as higher priority when work becomes available.

Showforce life

Put in the graft and you are rewarded for the effort, the work is challenging and changing from day to day. Fun, exciting, rewarding. Being a yes person and showing a real interest in your work will really help you advance. A chance to work with interesting people from all walks of life and travel opportunities if your interested. The most rewarding job I've ever had in an incredible industry.

Work hard and your rewarded

I had my doubts jumping from construction/Demolition but I haven't looked back since! I've worked on some massive events abroad and in the UK and have enjoyed the experience. If you have the right attitude and work hard Showforce will advance your career in the events industry

Job fulfillment and working around the world on some of the biggest events.

hours can be tough on family life.

At show force I had the pleasure of working some of the largest festivals in the uk which allowed me to do things I would not have been able to do other wise.

Hard work but Enjoyable

Some heavy grafting at times alone and as a team, on the go physically and mentally and on your feet most of the day, some great and relaxed people to work with if you don't know something ask

good teams, enjoyable work

Longer you work the less you get paid.. still above NMLW though

Avoid unless u are under 24 and can live at home forever. It's zero hours, minimum wage for v.hard graft at times,no advancement, no guarantee of work just told when and where u can work. If your face fits you are well away if not then see u later

Coventry Showforce

Pointless working here, promise they will put you on courses but course never happens or your not told.Coventry office complete mess and the management is a utter complete joke!!not treated with respect, always seen as a number and not valued.

Showforce Slave

At you’re interview they will say you will be on such amout per hour. This is not true the longer you are booked for the less per hour you will get. So instead £15 per you would be on £9 per hour. They do pay for travel expenses but you don’t get that until you get paid. You can earn some good money if you like working a lot with no time off so for a single person this would be ok for a position to just get by if you are a family person I would avoid avoid avoid

Avaoid at all costs

Worked for them for a week and didn't hear back at all after that, then when it came to payment they said I hadn't worked at all. It also impossible to contact the manager who has no care whatsoever for the people who work for him. Scam company!

Worked with showforce for a few months in which the hours were all over the place. You could have one 9hr graveyard shift and then a 11hr day shift the following day. They send out texts to let you know when and where you’re next shift is gonna be. They provided the wrong information in the text and therefore missed a 3hr shift. They then proceeded to take me off theyre working list because management failed to take responsibility. APPALLING COMPANY!!!!!!

A stepping stone into the events industry

I love working with showforce. The pay is awful, the hours are long and unsociable, the work is hard but the crew are fantastic and you get to see some interesting places and work abroad. Would definitely recommend.

The was extremely helpful

The company was good at the start. But be came more and more difficult, to much pressure on crew to do overtime at the last minute. You was required to work all hours Crew chefs treat you very badly and no help for internal staff.

Interesting job

Carrying stuff, loading trucks, preparing events. I have learned to more understand local dialect and some about show technical stuff. Friendly, hardworking people. When in time press, work several hours without break. Preparing the technical stuff - lights, audio, video, hanging thrusts, fun with co-workers....

Free lunches, waiting and transporting times paid

Long hours, mostly night shifts
