Shropshire Council (Social Services)
Working for Shropshire Council has to be the worse year of my life. Not the best company to work for. Lack of communication,if you don't know something its tough you should no. No help for new starters who don't know what they're doing, Literally thrown in at the deep end with no support
Customer Service Adviser in Shrewsbury
on 12 November 2019
Good pension
Busy office but interesting work. Occasional difficult customers but easier to deal with as knowledge of the council's services improves. Hours of work acceptable as well.
Kitchen Assitant in Church Stretton
on 8 November 2019
Great job apart from people who work there
Grest job but people who work with you can make things more stressful, great to work with the children and learning new things and the training was good
Newly Qualified Social Worker in Shrewsbury
on 9 September 2019
Not well supported as a Newly Qualified
Hospital team not very supportive to new starters. Not a good team to work with unless already qualified. The supervision was not productive as it did not reflect on weaknesses and how to develop. No feed back as a net qualified on all observation of up to six months. The supervisor did not have enough experience on how and how to support AYSE candidates.
