109 questions about working at Sky
Smart, shirt ant tie
Answered 22 September 2019I applied for a Sales Advisor position. First stage is an online assessment, it takes around 15 minutes and the questions are about what you would do in certain situations. Second is a video interview which is just standard 'can you tell me a time when you did this' stuff. Its not too bad, there are 5 pre recorded questions and you get 30 seconds to have a think, then two minutes to record your answer. If you pass that you get invited to an assessment day. There you will be in a group and you will be there for around 3-4 hours. You have to complete a few group tasks, then do a role play where you have to put together a suitable package for a potential customer, then you do an interview. This interview is more about you and your strengths rather than being about situations where you have done certain things. It's fairly relaxed you just need to be yourself, interact with the group, and ask relevant questions during the role play. They're just looking to see how you communicate with others mostly as that is pretty much the biggest part of the role. It's a pretty relaxed day, and I'm sure you will have fun. I applied in November, I got the email yesterday to say I had passed the assessment day but this isn't a formal job offer. I had a phone call from a lady to say they're just waiting to sort out a start date, and they will be back to me within a week or two. I believe there will be some background checks. I'm guessing once everything is finalised and I hopefully start the process will have taken around two months.
