Great company to work for

I have been working here for a couple of months. My account manager is amazing, the HR department is very helpful and they actually care about you as a person. The Help Desk is a little messy, but nothing major.

The management is poor. 0 training provided, 0 treatment, always complaining how they are understaffed and never allowing you to get you annual leave. Have to chase HR and Account managers every day to approve your holiday. Also force you to come to work even when there are train/tube strikes wand tell you to pay for a Uber.

Terrible company to work for, they only care about the clients not the staff. The HelpDesk literally harass you if you’re a couple minutes late or if you’re unwell. I’ve had 13 missed calls in the space of 10 minutes before. The clients are awful too their expectations are ridiculous and only want to pay basic london living wage. Don’t waste your time and save your mental health. It is DRAINING. Other staff members are not good either, try to throw you under the bus.

The location of the shifts are okay althought not consistent. You can work 2 or 3 times a week covering different sites always which can be annoying sometimes.The hourly pay is really low and some sites don't have a decent place for breaks.I would recommend this company to people who are new in the security industry as a part time job.

Disorganised Company

I can say alot about this company and whilst all of it is true, most of it is not positive. They will contact you at 3am to attend shifts that start in only a few hours, but they will be busy/unavailable when you need to book off at the end of shift. They will send you to sites where you are in danger because of lack of lighting, you may also have to attend sites with no running water. Colleagues have no respect and will not listen to you, even if you are technically the senior/site lead simply because you may be younger. If you refuse any shifts for whatever reason, you will not work again for at least a few weeks at a time. They do not respect home life and will continuously call you after having worked a 12 hour shift, as well as late on weekends when you are not working

Great company to work

SmartSec Solutions is a great company to work and improve in your career. The line managers are very kind and understandable quick in response. HR department are always there to respond to staffs whenever help is needed. I have had a great time over four years of service and working with Smartsec. They've never been a time were salaries are delayed. You might face some issues with property management as a result of incompetence as it has always been in the cooperate department. Nor withstanding Smartsec will always find a way of solving such issues amicably.

Amazing Company

I have been working for SmartSec in an office building for over 5 years and i have to say it is the best company I have worked for ever in my life. Account Managers are extremely professional and really care for their employees well being and mental health. They are always available even after office hours and they will always try to accommodate your every need. Equally the head office staff is very polite every time i need to speak to them. Their pay rates are very competitive and they are always posting new job openings for people who wants internal progression. I could not ask for a better employer.

Worst Company Ever!

Where do I even begin. Firstly the management is awful, They will talk to you when they need your help or ignore you completely. Working here makes you feel like your worthless. Secondly you could work your but off but this company will never praise you they only look for mistakes and flaws 24/7.They will almost never give you a permanent site even if the client themselves love your work unless your friends with one of the managers but they will string you along for months and months. This is also the reason why they lost so many good security staff over the years.All I will say is if you have the option to work somewhere else even if you have to take a pay cut do it because this company is horrible and the line managers will destroy your mental health by always talking down on you and making you feel bad for any little thing. You cant even ask them a simple question honestly it’s just unreal this company.

Quite relaxed work environment

Various sites worked at so my days were not so repetitive as my environments were never the same. Mostly Individual work was provided, also worked as a concierge during my time with them. Workloads were not too excessive and quite manageable.
