Smile Direct Club has many challenges to overcome. They need a new play book. Aside from very nice colleagues and fun team members, there are not to many great things to speak about.

Started good, but went down fast

This was a great job at the beginning, but soon, they started massive layoffs, and the expectations of those left were unreasonable. There was also no job security. You went to work everyday wondering if you were going to be laid off next

Disorganized Chaos

High volume of incoming calls from rude, angry, frustrated customers. Very poor processes that do not allow you to help the customer. Repeated layoffs of some of the best US based employees who were replaced by incompetent and inexperienced foreign workers.

Micromanaging

DO NOT WORK HERE! They constantly restructure. No job security. Horrible micromanaging DMs. They want you to stick to their script and make you a robot. Its never good enough. Bonus structure is a JOKE! They make it impossible for you even get it with them approving single arches. And if you actually get it… haaaaa it’s not even a 1% commission. Run away from this corporate nightmare.

You get aligner discount but don’t use their product it has a lot of dangers

Had a great time there before Covid

This was a great place to work. Excellent work culture and benefits. Sadly, the office closed during covid and never reopened. I would love to work there again if they ever expanded.

No job security. Absolutely terrible management who takes advantage of employees and don’t train properly. What a joke of a company, an absolute scams and a bunch of clowns who work here. I hope they loose all of their business and people go to REAL professionals, not these phonys. DO NOT WORK HERE!

Not a good environment

Decent flexibility, low to moderate pay. Incredibly stressful, zero job security. Lots of half-attempts at keeping employees happy and engaged. (Yoga, lunch + learns, and EAP programs are not the equivalent of a four-day work week. Morale is low. Layoffs after layoffs after layoffs while the higher ups get paid millions.
