Same role

I am so happy I left the company!

I have worked for a year at Soho Farmhouse. I just hated it. I had to work every weekend I couldn't have 1 weekend off in 6 month. My manager choosed my holidays. I've got the same rate for overtime and always had to work 6 days and usually I had 44 hours per week. Plus I had to travel from Banbury and pay for the bus. My manager was not respectful with the team. I've never felt the support from the managment

Unbearable

What is the best part of working at the company? I would not recommend anyone to work for this company. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Since I started working in the house I have become accustomed to dealing with a vast majority of members who have zero tolerance for frustration, who want to be served now and now, who are dry because they have a meeting or who behave in uncivil manners because they are drunk. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?the working conditions at this time are not favorable enough to meWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Understaff, members complaining or being disrespectful with the staff team

Great team, unfortunately no work life balance

Try it for yourself if the company and role appeals, overall great team and lovely location. However, the general consensus/reality is there’s no work life balance! Be careful as on paper you might work 45hrs that “week” (Mon-sun) but this may not be the hours you’ve worked between days off…that might be more like over 60hrs! Also, weekends off are rare and you will be expected to do 10, 11 and 12 hour shifts as standard. There’s a massive turnover of staff (likely due to work/life balance). Most of the “perks” only relate if you work in London so irrelevant if you work at Soho Farmhouse. It’s a great team, good pay and nice location if you are willing to sacrifice your life to work.
