Good company to work for, working away will be most of your time with the company but if that doesnt bother you, you will enjoy it. Also other workers are all okay and get along well

Pros

You would have to be mad

They have zero regard to health and safety. Pay against the crazy hours expected works out less than minimum wage. Avoid at all cost. You will be worked like a dog and then see nothing in return.

Pros

Nil

Cons

Everything

Good work colleagues but management need to learn more

Typical day at work is a different challenge every day and i still learn something every day due to different challenges work colleagues are good the hardest part of the job is keeping the management happy the best part is when you overcome a new challenge because you never stop learning

Good company

This was my first role out of University and I was offered a 10 week contract with the company as a geotechnical engineer. Once on site I was given good support by the manager and also offered a permanent position with the company, I chose not to accept the offer however the senior projects manager was very understanding of my current situation and said if I wanted to re-contact them 6 months down the line the offer would still be available.

Pros

Decent pay, good bunch of people

Cons

10 hour days on site every day- 50 hour week

everyday day is a productive day as lot of machine to maintain and repair when needed

most days i go to the yard to do repairs to machines that's in the yard then if required go out to site for breakdowns. dont take much to do with the management as my foreman does that we all get on as the 4 fitters work as a team

Pros

experience of different types of machines
