37 questions about working at SOMERSET CARE
You are promised one thing but when it doesn’t fit in with what management want then your hours will change, even in the middle of a care round you will be swapped and changed. If you have a good locality manager then you’ll have a more positive experience but if you get one who doesn’t want to pull their weight then you will find yourself working all the hours under the sun with no say in it and your personal mobile will be hotter than hot on days off with calls asking you to pick up extra shifts.

Answered 18 August 2018Very good question - unfortunately, due to the low pay - compared to competitors in the area; long hours and lack of work and home life balance; lack of career progression; 'if you face doesn't fit' mentality in homes - i'm not sure why anyone would want to work at Somerset Care.
