It’s decent

It can be stressful, but interesting. Sometimes feels poorly managed but it really depends on your manager and team. Long hours, 12-14 hours. It can be dangerous sometimes.

Toxic workplace

Ironically SLAM is a mental health trust and the community mental health team ruined my mental health to the point of no return. On initial introduction, I realised that there is no regard for newbies and you shadow your way through the job. CPN’s are overworked and have unrealistic caseload numbers. Management is lax and lack professionalism. There are cliques and a lack of respect for staff. Support workers are under appreciated and micromanaged to the point where you feel bullied and singled out

Pros

None

Cons

9/5, lucky if your attendance is acknowledged

reasonable place to work

What am reviewing !! A typical day could be that will be taking a patient to hospital appointment. whereby you make sure that section 17 paper sign by the ward consultant in advance. And you need to do all the necessary documentation. The hospital name and the time of going and time coming back Also you need to arrange for transport to get you there and back. plus you need the escorting staff at least 2 staff.

Very interesting role working with outpatients. I was a part time worker. I loved working with the patients who had complex needs. I had a lot of job satisfaction working here
