Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Preston, Lancashire - 8 July 2020
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedSP Transport, Amazon clearly got them over a barrel, Management under pressure to keep Amazon happy, as a company good but whilst they have a contract with Amazon stay clear, if you want to wee in a bottle daily and not have the chance to eat then multi drops is for you, it’s a amazon blame culture, might work over the pond but not in the UK. If you give it a go rent your own van.
Pros
Guys are hard working but under valued
Cons
To many parcels, management watching you like a hawk, peeing in bottles, late nights, regularly unauthorised deductions from wage.

Fun, productive and adventurous
I have been working for SP for 4 months now, and to be honest the job is what I expected. Yes there are good days and bad days but it's not the companies fault that customers have decided to live in certain places. Yes many will moan about routes, stops, multi stops but at the end of the day those same people will complete the work and come back the following day, week by week, month by month and year by year the same people will moan daily and b there the next day. That to Anyone should sum up the company, the job, the pay and EVERYTHING as a whole. If SP is as bad as what many make out, if amazon multidrop is as bad as what people make out then why are the same people still there day in day out? If anyone wants easy money they should have studied and become something that makes em easy money. Sometimes in life we have to graft to put food on our tables, and have a roof over our head, and if u come to work, do the job, and go home instead of spending all day moaning you will complete your whole route in 5-7 hours, that's approx 150-170 stops, but if you moan, whinge, it can take you 9 hours, any job is as easy and fun as you make it. This job keeps me fit, happy, and provides for my family, and if you nice and respect others you will also get same in return, but if u speak down and disrespect others with verbal abuse then don't expect a pat on the back from anyone not only SP but ANYONE.
Pros
You are your own boss, u can use bathrooms, have lunch breaks
Cons
Some routes are difficult but you get in the swing of it and becomes second nature

Dont work here
Amazon delivery driver (Former Employee) - Leyland - 24 April 2023
They tie you in with the £150 a day rubbish, but they fail to tell you van rental is £220 with it going up as and when they feel like it, pick their favourite drivers to do easy work and the rest are given long and challenging routes, town centres, schools, farms in middle of nowhere not to mention the fact they like to take money off you under the (misc deductions) but you ask for a reason and just get fobbed off with I'll look at it later and never get an answer multiple people I know aswell as myself have been treated like a idiot giving a route with 300+ parcels in a town centres then complain when you take parcels back because people aren't in they expect you to put the parcels anywhere and not get caught by Amazon. Avoid at all costs unless you like being under paid and overworked and enjoy being on the road for 10+ hours then go for it.
Pros
Get a new van
Cons
To many to list here

Poor!!
Multi Drop Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Preston, Lancashire - 13 January 2023
Extremely poor company to work for! Expected to work 10 hour days doing a stupid amount of drops! Around 200 a day. Constantly cancel the days you are working. They don’t care that 1 days work isn’t enough to cover bills! Let you know in the morning that you aren’t working that day. They have their favourites who get 5 days of work and then will tell other they are working so they only get maybe 1 or 2 days. Shocking company to work for. 100% would NOT recommend.
Pros
Nothing

Worst job I have worked
Multi Drop Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Manchester Trafford Park - 18 June 2022
I would strongly advise for anybody looking for a delivery job to NOT WORK for this company or for Amazon. You get overworked to the point where you cant even have a break, they give you too many parcels to deliver and you cannot go home unless all parcels are delivered, managers do not appreciate you and never have anything posititive too say but have ALOT to say if you do something wrong or not making good time. They expect way too much and I have had a awful experience working for Amazon and this company I suggest anybody to find another delivery job that isnt amazon.
Pros
absolutely nothing.
Cons
Long hours, unappreciative Managers, Too much expectation

Fair and Honest Workplace
Courier/Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Leyland, Lancashire - 1 November 2021
A great company to work for if you have ambition and drive. The positions available are mainly driving jobs however progression can be achieved and that's partly due to the recognition you receive by putting in the work. Responsibilities are limited and you are in complete control over what you do in a day. Wages are paid on time and to date I have had no issues relating to the pay. Even when damaging my van that i rented from them the charges were cheaper than what i thought it would be to repair and i was offered a payment plan at what was affordable to me. I didn't get paid my last weeks pay before leaving, which is understandable due to there being an outstanding amount to pay and i think is the case with any driver that leaves before paying off anything owed. It is a risk being self employed however working with SP Transport has proved to be positive. I got to keep my van and use it in my personal time which gave me a mode of transport as insurance is very costly for me. The job can be a little stressful when the route sequence isn't the best or when customer's don't leave proper instructions where to leave their parcels however it the same where ever you go when you work for a company that does work for amazon. I think SP Transport is trying to make the best out of a bad situation. If I was asked the question whether I would come back to SP transport I would confidently say 'yes I would'. Would it be for amazon? 'Maybe not'
Pros
Van to use in my own time, Flexible working hours, Paid weekly
Cons
Working for Amazon

Worst company I have ever worked for.
By far the worst company I have ever worked for. Never paid correctly or on time not to mention the pittance they pay for the hours they expect you to do. Absolutely no work/life balance and there is no such thing as leading by example with them. Avoid at all costs!
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, no work/life balance & bad rates of pay if you are lucky enough to get paid at all!

Unreasonable
Multi Drop Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Manchester - 3 August 2021
Work is never guaranteed yet you still pay rent. I did it for a few weeks and u was only 3 days a week on average so for 30-40 hours worked I came out with less £3 pH on average before expenses which are are UNDERPAID. other companies offer much better rates for same roll. the worst is the poorest any most unprofessional management style and communication you will ever experience.
Pros
none
Cons
long hours, underpaid

Nice environment made it from management, how much they can in a stressful job for Amazon who doesn't care about drivers, who force and expose the drivers to risk everything from health to safety....
