Generally very good
Area Manager (Current Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 21 November 2023
Generally a good company which gives you the autonomy to get on with your role. Regular bonus payments and quarterly snack treats are a nice addition. Overall management is good but communication could be improved across the board. Lots of opportunity to develop the role and into different roles within the company. Recently launched an apprenticeship scheme for staff to develop their knowledge and skills. Weekend work required at times but no additional payment for this. No fuel card or benefit in kind so costs staff to get round visits or meetings. Maternity policy incredibly poor and gives along with sick policy.
Pros
Opportunity to progress. Job stability
Cons
Poor sick & maternity policies. No unsocial hours payments for weekend work

Ignore the negatives - give us a try
Caregiver (Current Employee) - Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire - 6 November 2023
Lovely clean sites, a pleasure to work in. I started my career with this company at another site and it wasn't until I got to my current site, that I really felt welcomed and truly part of a team. We're not just colleagues, we're a team that are friends who work hard to make a patient's experience, a positive one. I feel my pay is fair, yes we'd all like a little more, but you are given plenty of opportunities to advance and pay is reviewed regularly. Twice yearly bonuses make you feel appreciated as well as all the competitions and monetary awards given in recognition of outstanding performance. I've not had to raise any concerns so do not have any comments to make in how they are handled. What I do know is that if something did arise, it will be dealt with professionally by our upper management. Personally, the flexibility shown to me in terms of shifts or time off, has really been outstanding. It has allowed me to maintain a good balance between work and home commitments.

Disappointing, unprofessional, poor management, after more than a pound of flesh
Does not wish to say (Former Employee) - Oxford, Oxfordshire - 3 November 2023
10 hours , plus consistent travel, cover shifts and hotel stays. Poor accomodation provided (some hotels) , the management of this facility was, abysmally woeful. staff gossip was frequent and not a great environment to work in. The job advertised was grossly underappreciated. The amount of work they make one person do is very difficult. Completely out for profit margins over patient care. A tiring workplace with a severe risk to mental health. Avoid at all costs.

Worse place ever
Office worker (Former Employee) - Various - 14 September 2023
Executive Team are a joke. They don’t care about their employees- they will replace you 5 minutes later and don’t even try to keep great staff. New starters doing less work, being paid more… Working for this company demotivates you 100%. Worse job I’ve ever had. Don’t be fooled by the high pay- it’s a trick to get you in and use you. No flexibility in the role whatsoever. Too many micro managers.

Not satisfied with the local and regional management
Scrub Nurse (Former Employee) - Oxford, Oxfordshire - 23 August 2023
Big issue with management -Luck of support , not welcome attitude, giving attention to gossip, manipulative managers, insulting people. Make you feel disrespected, not giving chance for improvement and development, was important only financial profit, no medical knowledge.
Pros
No applicable
Cons
10 hours most of the time per day

poor management, micro Management
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) - Chelmsford, Essex - 17 August 2023
I worked for Spa for 6 months, it was a stop-gap. They expected a lot from their Nurses, it was like a conveyor belt at times. I loved the patients, most of the girls. They had a high turn over of staff. Basically because of management who had his favourites.

Good place to work
Healthcare Technician (Current Employee) - Coventry, West Midlands - 17 August 2023
PROS- Great team, no two days are the same, always learning something. Manager for this specific hospital is brilliant, decent bonus. CONS- Regularly travel to other sites which can be 2hours away, pay doesn't reflect work load, no sick pay for a year (sick pay is awful). Favouritism.

For those who like to help others
Patient Co-ordinator (Current Employee) - Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire - 18 July 2023
It's like a little family. The patient coordinator team is a small close knit team of 6 total who work closely with the clinical teams. Arguably the the core of the hospital who help start and close the day. You need high levels of accuracy and have a good level of compassion and understanding as the patients have poor vision and may need extra assistance. It can be a very rewarding role but the days are long (but they also fly by). You won't get bored.

Overworked / long days / short break/ all about the money
Patient Co-ordinator (Current Employee) - Cm1 - 14 July 2023
Desk staff are expected to run a clinic , organise paperwork and files , complete full administration task whilst doing all of this at the same time , whilst answering phone / email requests and request from clinical staff members plus all the filing for every clinic every day and also look after all the patients in the waiting room. Clinics often overrun and clinics put on every weekend which is overtime but getting more and more oushed to cover them as they open then every week . Was nice when I started but now they just think about the money not the patient and defiantly not the staff that work so hard . Management never know what we do yet alk tell us we should do it easily
