The hospice itself is a friendly, vibrant place, and as unlike a traditional hospital as we can make it. But rest assured, our medical and nursing care is excellent and our clinical teams are highly professional and devoted to doing their best for you.

However, as we often say, we’re more than just a hospice. We are proud of our community programmes that offer practical, emotional and spiritual support to over 7,500 people in the local area, most of whom we will help to continue living at home. If you’re one of them, we are ready to help you too.

The worst working experience of my life

Care is second to none, but treatment of staff leaves much to be desired. The high staff turnover indicates this. The environment was toxic; I had an unsupportive manager; my workload was excessive; I was undervalued and treated with contempt.

Amazing hospice but horrible Retail side

The Hospice itself is doing a fantastic job but the retail side of it is awful.Having been shouted at for things out of your control, no support and it feels like being back at school with higher management gossiping.Being treated different because of a disability and age seems to happen more often than it should.Sadly treated more like a number than an actual human being.Absolutely lovely vol...

Awesome Experience

Respectful

The staff at the hospital are very respectful and they enjoy having other people to work with. As a volunteer, I was able to speak to the patients at the hospice and find out their own experience here so it was very nice.
