Bullying and harrassment

Terrible clicky managers .. if your face fits then great ..if it doesn't then you're for it ... The staff are unhelpful and critical support of any kind

Could be good

Aweful leadership makes a tough rewarding job feel pointless. The contract is the issue, mangers just want targets regardless of the clients needs. Staff are ignore and made to feel stupid when challenging any managers ideas.

supportive working environment

Supporting some of the most vulnerable clients can be challenging, but definitely rewarding. I started as a peer advisor 9 years ago and have worked up through different roles to team leader position. In all my working roles I have been supported and trained to a high standard, St Giles has given myself valuable experience and a positive outlook n life, I have the confidence and drive to succeed, Management have supported me right throughout my career with St Giles. the St Giles Ethos reflects from the CEO right throughout the organisation.

Great place to work, St Giles provides a second chance and to turn negative past's into a positive future

Fantastic job, totally ruined by bad bullying management

Was so excited to be working for this company as looking at the website I felt i would make a real difference there. I loved the clients i worked with although they were very challenging but the management and HR were a pure nightmare. My line manager told me i had no right to an opinion about my job and should just do what i was told.Even if you use the proper channels you will be abused in this company unless you shut up and put up

Fantastic job satisfaction with clients

Bad management and a culture of bullying

Brilliant place to work whether you have loads of experience or not

they really give you a chance and work to help you reach your full potential. Plus loads of added perks come with the job. For hose with children they really tey to accomodate what you can do to still fulfill your hours but also meet the commitments that come with parenting. They have great career progression and many teams so you can learn many new skills.

Great organisation

Great employer, really supportive helping me into employment after a prison sentence. supportive colleagues but a bit chaotic about being told what exactly to do on a day to day basis. absolutely love this company

Started off well but things changed. worked with vulnerable clients in the community. At first things were fine but then we had to get our clients to sign to say that we had travelled to meet them along with them signing to say that we had bought them coffee when we met for appointments. I felt totally untrusted and unvalued as an employee so found another job

Long hours, not trusted

fun work place

Hard working people. I was there for over 5 years It was a very good experience for me which really thought me a lot about gang issues in the community and youth work.

Interesting experience

Good place to work and good staff to work with. I was never given any job or had to deal with any client that I did feel comfortable with and they made sure the work load wasnt to heavy so work target's was easy to reach

I loved it

I began as a Volunteer in the beginning and enjoyed every moment unfortunately there was no vacancy available and I had to find employment elsewhere.

Passionate and family feeling

A fair organisation with a relaxed attitude and family feel. Lots of benefits including away days, salaried leave and duvet days. depending on your job role, your working day can be either relaxed or quite stressful, but this is due to vulnerable client group. Highly recommend

It’s a great company to work for. Very supportive, treated as an equal. Relaxed atmosphere, made to feel welcome.

Very relaxed interview, Team players huge support from management and other staff members. Being treated fairly having a criminal record. Working with some great young people.

Being treated as equal with a criminal record

Great stepping stone, not long term

Working at St Giles Trust is great stepping stone for someone who has just come out of education in CJS area as can learn a lot and network with people in NPS to gain more knowledge. Not great for people looking for long term career due to their projects running very short between 12-18 months at times.

It was 2013 when i worked there and things may have changed

My job description was very different to the actual role i was doing after i was offered the job. I was pretty much managing myself, in charge of the project, even had to recruit people for the project and do marketing. I was really just looking for a role delivering IT training. Very stressful as i was really pretty much the Project Manager. The project hadn't been touched and they needed someone to do whatever needed to be done to deliver the project on time and meet all of the projects targets. It was quite a crazy 6 months.

Unprofessional Management

Unprofessional on all levels. Management often shared personal details within office. Favouritism, no equal opps. Other mid management held information and felt threatened. Clique culture.

Collaborative team ethic

Great team, good operational management and and enjoyable place to work. Money is satisfactory for the role and there is good communication amongst the corporation. Well led and very focussed on the client. Would return
